I don't run, but I do ski, occasionally anyway, tracking it would be motivation to do XC more. (I'm an alpine skiier at heart, who should XC more but...need motivation.)
Is there any news on a ski feature? We used the hike feature while skate skiing on trails we know and run in the summer and it came out over a mile short when it is usually accurate on the run feature for distance
In your next update I think you should add skiing in exercise shortcut in your next up date so I can track my speed and we're I have been but not have to track it on bike .
I don't think it would be too difficult to add such function because biking activity track does pretty much the same thing. It would be so great if Charge 2 can track ski activities.
Please consider adding snow sports to tracking - like cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and downhill skiing. Would love to see GPS tracking on XC skiing!
Great idea! Also cross country skiing and snow shoeing would be great short cuts. Those activites certainly aren't hikes or runs, although the snow depth sort of determines how I log those activites.
Does the heart rate determine calories burned or just steps.? Last week I slogged through 12 inches of powder for miles on my cross country skies and I'm not sure if calories burned reflected the amount of steps or took into account my heart rate as well.
Could you please add cross country skiing as one option for your 7 activities in the app for the Blaze? A very popular activity in Scandinavia in the winter
Yes please add this! Bought the Charge2 in Sweden and assumed it could handle one of the largest winter sports here. So I did not even bother to check since it seemed obvious for Fitbit to handle that. I Like the Charge 2 except for missing skiing as an option. For me personally it is nordic skiing (same as cross country skiing) that is most important, but downhill is also a big sport that would benefit from a Fitbit activity option.
For the people of Fitbit I would like you to consider that English is not everybodys language here so there is a lot of your customers who would like to have skiing as an option when bying a Fitbit but dont know their way into this forum and then expressing themself in a foreign language.
