Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

Strange that this isn’t done yet. I’m a Fitbit surge user and happy with it. I’ve been trying to convince my wife to switch from Apple Watch to Fitbit (probably Alta HR), since HR monitor on AW seems to be extremely unreliable and battery life is useless. Asked her what features she regularly uses on AW. The list is short: pinging her phone. I was somewhat surprised to find that none of the Fitbits can do this. I guess she’ll just have to go with something else then...

Just got a Fitbit Ionic after years with a Garmin Vivoactive. I realized today there is no find my phone feature - bye Fitbit, the bells and whistles were nice, but ultimately not having a find my phone feature is a dealbreaker.

Please add it to the charge 3. I come from using Garmin Vivosmart HR and they had it

Every day i get more disapointing... I was choosing between Garmin Vivosmart 4 and Charge 3 and now i see i’ve made wrong choice. No ‘Find my phone’, no alert when charge 3 losts connection with phone, no faces with date on it... sync is not working properly.

I just got an Ionic last week after my Pebble Steel finally died.

I am generally liking it, though some features are missing.

My wife's iWatch just broke, so I gave her an Ionic.

She used the iWatch's "Find My Phone" feature frequently and is missing it greatly.

Add my vote for a feature that would replace that functionality!

Thanks.

Make watch able to call my phone via Bluetooth. So that I can find my phone in the couch somewhere...;-)

I miss this feature which I had with my old Samsung Gear Fit. It was so convenient I didn't have to use another phone to call my cell. And if there was no Bluetooth connection because it was too far away, somehow I was able to remember easier where it could have been like left in the car or at work etc. You can make this work across all watches (not just Ionic or Versa) with a simple software update.

I currently use the Fitbit charge and I'm pretty happy with it. I also wear an ASUS smartwatch which I'm also happy with. I would like to combine the functionality of both devices into one Versa device but the one missing item that is a deal breaker is the "find my phone" feature. I have used it several times to find my phone by making the phone actually ring until I locate it. It seems like a no brainer to add this feature since it has successfully been implemented on other devices. If you want my  money and positive feedback you know what to do :-). Otherwise I will start searching for a device that combines all the functionality that I'm looking for.

So basically there should be a feature where if you lose your phone, you press a button on the screen on the charge 3, and it make a loud noise to help find your phone

This is a basic feature that was on my Moto 360 about 5 years ago. Apple, Samsung, Garmin and many others have integrated this on their watches a long time ago. This is basic functionality. Please  add

As a mom of three, it would be extremely helpful to have an app on my wrist to help me find where my phone has been drug off to. I could have my phone one second and then it disappears before my eyes. This app could save my sanity 😁

I can agree with this as I lose my phone half of the time. It would be nice to have an app to find my phone especially during times where I am already hard pressed to get to an event on time and I misplaced my phone.

Can't believe this is still an issue for Fitbit....I had a find my phone app with my $99.99 Pebble, years ago, and now Pebble is owned by Fitbit....should be a slam dunk....paid 4x that for the Fitbit Ionic and just cant believe it doesn't have this feature...is without a doubt one of the most valuable apps you could have

its crazy that they are reading all these same suggestions and nothing has been said about it

This seriously still isn't a thing? The ionic was about $300 when I bought it, it has been several years and the still is not a thing, are you kidding me? This is standard on a lot of devices as far as smart watches go, not to mention why do we have so many cpt-c applications we can download and this still is not a thing like seriously are you kidding me? We have like 4 cpt-c applications and we don't have a phone pager or phone locator whatever you would like to call it. I remember when I owned a Garmin and how that was standard with it how it lit up when I tried to page my phone now I have had my ionic for a year now or so and something like this still has not been added? Samsung or Apple watch would be better at this point if you guys seriously are still considering adding this but yet we have 4 cpt-c apps to choose from.

At this point it starts to feel like arrogance from fitbit’s side. Not only do they don’t add this feature, the not replying to this very active post starts to teel like arogance on their part. Why don’t you listen or at least kindly reply to your customers that paud a lot of money to join your community?
That’s why I tend to hate tech companies that grow large, they seem to just do what fits the profit instead of really listening. When iI owned a TomTom and Mio the service at least was on point.
Seriously, my Ionic works fine, but if it ever breaks down out of warranty I’m switching to Garmnin. They are big too but already offer services in the Netherlands that fit the amount of money you pay for the device.
It’s a disgrace really Fitbit!

I would like to have this "find my phone" feature on the Charge 3 too.

Would like the Versa to notify me if I move out of range of my phone.

Not sure if the Fitbit team member actually read what's  post here or it's just for customers to blow off steam for their enjoyment.   It's ridiculous that two years has got by since the first request for the Find my phone feature and there is still no way of doing this.

I've been using a Garmin vivosmart hr for the last three year and love this feat and the feature to control my phone youtube video.  I thought getting a Versa was an upgrade but doesn't  feel like it anymore.

If the Fitbit team actually read this, please implement the feature,  there are about  ten pages of ppls requesting this and it seem like a very simple  feature.

Thanks

Could not agree more....starting to feel like Fitbit may simply not have the resources to even monitor this, their own, site, let alone providing the services that their clients expect of them

I currently have the charge 2 and would like to upgrade to the Versa smartwatch but not having the "find my phone" feature is a show stopper for me. The lack of attention to this request from Fitbit makes me question their customer focus.

Could not agree more, is unfortunate but apparently true.

The Ionic is on sale this week, and with Christmas comming, I thought about picking a couple up as gifts for my sons so that we could all participate encoursge each other via the Fitbit app....but with the total disregard demonstrated by Fitbiy here.....no longer think that a good idea.

Agreed sad - really, classic case of a company beginning to loose it's
loyal fan base, hard to reclaim that when it's gone. All because they can't
react who k enough to the simplest of problems. With Chrustam approaching
their rivals must be rubbing their hands with glee. I am about to write to
Advertising Standards and DTI as they will not refund money on what they
have acknowledged is a know fault in a fitness tracker that doesnt track
accurately! Madness
