Add body measurement feature

Can you please add a feature to track your body measurements: chest, waist, hips, thigh, and arm? I would like see my progress in inches +/-. When I'm not losing weight, I want to make sure the body inches are still going down. Thanks.

Given all the information available about how weight isn't the sole indicator of healthy.. I would have thought making this only about weight is quite destructive! I think this is a very important feature to add quickly.

It really bothers me that this was removed. In fact, I find it upsetting that any features are being taken away from current users. Why wouldn't Fitbit strive to give customers more instead of less?

becaue they can make more money by charging you for this 😞

@Mustang68, Fitbit removed that function and other manual logging pages on 31 August 2015. There is a discussion about this here https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/Old-manual-logging-pages-will-be-retired-on-8-3...

I have been using my fitbit 1 for almost 2 years and am COMPLETELY bummed that I cannot track my body measurements anymore.  I LOVED the feature as I felt there were more measurements than with other apps. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring this feature back because it is a VALUABLE tool!!

I started using body measurements a couple of years ago and stopped as I had to readjust my life due to become a family caregiver. As a result, my health goals have seriously suffered.

I have finally reached a point where I am able to focus more into a health lifestyle. The body measurements are important to me and would like to see them back.

An important aspect of this tab is also building into the notion that everything does not need to focus around weight. For a company so focused on healthy lifestyles, eating properly, and committing to exercise routines, I would also expect a company to allow users to also focus on non scale victories.

Please return the body measurements feature!!!!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth

I've been using the log measurements since 2013 at least and just today it was missing from my account. Please bring it back. I use that the most especially since my Fitbit got lost and Fitbit is the only website I've found that has complete measurements. If I can't use it to log measurements, I may as well get ride of Fitbit altogether until I can afford the charge HR, which will be awhile.

I've been a user for years and just recently (last few weeks) started using this feature.  But I logged in today and it is gone.  😞  This seems ludicrous to offer a method of tracking (which is what the device does for movement) and then limit the ability to track measurements.  It stinks because I have lost my data.  I vote to have the feature returned.

I agree.  We have badges for weight loss achievements, but that is only one indicator of fat, and we all know that on a volume basis muscle weighs more than fat.

yes - please restore this feature.  A 150 pound person can have extremely different body measurements which correllate to a fitness level.  This is FITbit after all not WeightBit..

Having the trackers for body measurements, glucose, blood pressure and weight all in one place was the main reason for me to use this dashboard.  Since you've removed all but the weight, I'm going back to using excel.  There is no longer any point to using your website.  I'm extremely disappointed to say the least.

Yes why in the world did they REMOVE a feature that we used?  It wasn't even a large obtrusive part of the user experience, you had to hunt for it.  Came here today to add my measurements and was really disappointed.  My body composition is much more than just my weight.  Huge step backward for fitbit.

First, they remove all but the most basic exercises from their database, making it harder to correctly log your exercise, and now they remove the measurement tracking, which is a far BETTER measure of health than your weight (and much better for motivation for losing weight).  Looks like I'll have to search for a new tracker when my One breaks..... why would you ever take services away?  Who is the brilliant mind that decided we don't need this functionality?  Obviously someone that knows nothing about actually tracking ones health.  They shouldn't be working for you.

I used to use the BodyMedia armband - which I loved. It was very accurate.
But I switched to FitBit because their dashboard had more tracking features.
I'm now leaning toward switching back to BodyMedia.

Started using the body measurement feature a year ago as a way to help guage how my weight loss was progressing.  It was a great way to keep me motiviated if my weight wasn't moving down as consistently as I thought it should.    1 more month and its a year since I started and i wanted to check in my measurements but they are gone!!!     Bring them back please....  Its one thing to get rid of a feature if someone hasn't used the feature but its something else to just make it go away and not warn anyone.   I would have pulled my measurements out.

Started tracking BP and HR after my triple bypass.  Then I started using Journal and Weight.  These all tie together to make for a healthy lifestyle.  It's not just about steps.

Hi, I am not sure what the value was in removing this feature but please turn it back on. It should be a simple add as the structure and format is the same. It's not like were asking you to waterproof a device which is fairly substantial in comparison. 🙂

Agreed, I want this feature back as well.  I used it for years and when I went back this morning to record my numbers it was completely gone.  Is there a way to retrieve historical body measurement data?  Or did I lose all of that data when they killed the feature?

I was very disappointed when I found that I can no longer add my body measurements.  When I purchaeds my first fitbit this feature was available.  Now that I am back on track trying to get healthier, it would be nice to be able to track everything in one place.  I would really like for this feature to return.

Please put the body measurements back onto the Dashboards.  I had just started using this option before it disappeared.  This information is very useful.  BMI alone is a poor measure for many folks.  Body measurements are far more useful.  I've had to resort to using a separate spreadsheet to log the information.  It would be far more useful in a single location with my other information.
