This feature is meant to ask for the an increased number of Fitbit devices to be added to the UHC Program, aside from the already included Charge 2.

I think it's slow peddling on both parties parts. United Health has said it's up to the hardware provider to determine what devices will be allowed in the Motion Program. Fitbit when asked, just said write a post and "we'll consider the request." All they ever responded with was an automated response. Who knows?? All I know is I'm now wearing an Apple Watch and not a Fitbit. I couldn't wait any longer.

Hello, I am asking that Fitbit please add the IONIC and VERSA Smartwatches with the Unitedhealthcare Motion tracking APP. I just keep watching other Smartwatches such as Apple and Garmin and others get supported on United Healthcare. I called Fitbit to see if app would be added for the IONIC and Fitbit told me that Unitedhealthcare Motion was responsible for creating the app. I called Unitedhealthcare Motion to ask about support for the IONIC to be supported and they told me that FITBIT was responsible for getting the Unitedhealthcare App created. Please create a Unitedhealthcare Motion App for the IONIC and the VERSA...Please

Hello, when you say under consideration. Do you mean the smart watches as well (Ionic and Versa)? Thanks

Simply put. If Fitbit does not somehow get their smart watches on UnitedHealthcare Motion program. Fitbit will once again fall behind the curve and become less relevant. I am hoping that Fitbit takes up the slack and gets their smartwatches on the UnitedHealthcare Motion program. For now only the Charge 2 and Charge 3 trackers are on the UnitedHealthcare Motion program. Very basic and limited, so many companies are making basic trackers. Please once again support your Smartwatches. Thanks

Will the Fitbit versa be added to United healthcare or will any other Fitbit be added to United healthcare other than the Fitbit charge 2

I got an email last week that they're adding the Charge 3. No word on any
others.

I have to say that when my current fitbit stops working and with the only devices being the Fitbit Charge 2 and 3 (basic at best). I will be buying a Smartwatch that is supported by Unitedhealthcare Motion. I think that this will be happening more and more with others. I hear the Apple Smartwatch is Great and right now Unitedhealthcare is allowing for you to walk off $3.00 a day towards the purchase price of the watch. I already have had many coworkers purchasing the Apple watch this way, by walking off the full purchase.

What is the status of adding the Ionic and the Versa to the UHC Motion app?

I have an Ionic which does not work and had intended to get my wife a Versa for her upcoming birthday, but now it looks like I'm forced to buy her an Apple watch. Once my Ionic dies I too will be forced to get  the Apple.

I hate Apple and would much rather stay with Fitbit!!!

Please add Fitbit versa. This is ridiculous and poor customer service. You’re making all of your loyal customers want to switch to apple.

Also add the Fitbit Ionic!!
I do not want to be forced to buy Apple!!

Currently, when my ionic breaks...I will be switched to the Apple smart watch or Samsung smart watch. For some reason, I keep seeing new posts about the need for adding UHC motion added for the Ionic and Versa. AND get no responses at almost from Fitbit. Not hearing or listening to your customers is a bad idea.

This post is over a year old. Terrible not to see any response from Fitbit!

WHEN

I do not think anyone is listening from Fitbit about truly adding UHC motion to the Ionic and Versa. I have never heard a response and all of the chat helpers for Fitbit only say just add a comment to add something to the watches. Apple and others keep leaving Fitbit in the dust.

Yes, it would be nice if they would at least reply.

So, here is the thing that I do not understand. I just transferred from Humana's Go365 wellness platform to the UHC Motion. On Humana they have HUNDREDS of devices that they are compatible with, including all versions of Fitbit (alta, charge, versa, etc. ). If FitBit can connect their app and pedometers to Humana's platform, why can't they do the same for UHC? I was very disappointed to see that UHC only has 9 devices that work with their program. I am not sure where the blame lies, but I know what a good wellness platform looks like so it is very disappointing to see that this partnership is so sucky.

Please add the Fitbit Ionic to UnitedHealthcare Motion.  I really like my Ionic but with it not being linked to UnitedHealthcare motion I'm thinking about selling it and buying an Apple Watch so that I can get the UnitedHealthcare Motion linked and money added to my HSA for reaching step goals.

So far... Looks like Fitbit is only going to do what they want which is
sad! Wish they would actually listen to customer's needs. Please Fitbit
make this happen.

It sounds like its a combo problem between both Fitbit and United Healthcare.  I emailed United Healthcare and they said they had not plans to include the Fitbit Ionic.  I don't know if that's based on something on their end or on what Fitbit has chosen to do.  Either way I ordered an Apple Watch Series 3 on Amazon Prime Day, sold my wife's Fitbit Versa last night and will be putting my Fitbit Ionic up for sale in the next couple of days.  Sad because I really liked our Fitbits and would have preferred to stick with them, but we can't pass up the money put in our HSA accounts so we're moving over to the Apple Watch.

Thanks for the info from Fitbit. That makes my decision right there. I will
be selling my Ionic since it will not be supported by Motion and Fitbit.
Either Motion or Fitbit must have a problem making their software and
hardware work together. Great deals on Apple watches now.

No problem.  I think there is plenty of blame to put on United Healthcare with this as well.  The fact that they only have a handful of devices that work with their program is ridiculous.  I have a coworker who has a perfectly functioning Samsung watch but he has to get the newest version because his specific Samsung watch isn't supported.  It sounds like there are other health insurance companies that have unlimited options when it comes to trackers.  The limited choice sounds like a good way to keep people from actually using the UnitedHealthcare Motion program...i.e. not having to make deposits to people's HSA accounts based upon their activity.

I found that I can get about $125.00 for my Fitbit to put towards purchase of Apple watch.

It's incredibly frustrating that the Fitbit Versa is not compatible with the Motion program.  All Apple watches are compatible.  I love my Versa and did a lot of research before deciding to get Fitbit's Versa instead of an Apple watch, but now I wish I hadn't!  If I want to continue wearing my Versa, I have to wear a second tracker that's compatible with the UHC Motion program.  Next time I'll feel compelled to get an Apple watch!
