Add more swimming stats (lap times, elapsed time, distance or length) on screen

Upgraded from Ionic to Versa 2. Very disappointed with Swim tracking. Versa 2 lost the ability to keep track of elapsed laps. I have to count manually and that defeats the purpose of a fitness tracker. I was told this is working as designed. I will be returning the Versa 2 to Fitbit until this functionality is added. Going back to Ionic. Need the ability to customize Swim stats by:
- Completed Laps
- Elapsed Time
- Heart Rate   (vote here!)

On the Versa 3, while tracking swimming, the display only shows a timer (which isn't particularly useful as I can track that using the clock on the wall). Being able to track number of laps and distance would be much more useful. The Honor Magic Watch, which dates back a few years now, also tracks stroke rate and type of stroke.

Hi @LizzyFitbit. Thanks but will these changes actually be implemented? There's an awful lot of demand for it, looking at this forum.

Hi, I've had a Charge 5 for 5 months now, and like it overall. I've never had a problem keeping track of my laps while swimming, though agree it would be nice to have that reported live. For me the much bigger deal, and I believe it's a priority for anyone working on improving their swimming technique, is the ability to generate reports with all individual split times after every lap. I'd be really happy even if this worked like everything else, checkable afterwards in the app. It seems clear that the device collects everything it needs to generate these reports, as it knows when every direction change happened. It is mind-boggling that these requests have been coming in for 4+ years, from virtually every swimmer with a Fitbit, and (unless we are all missing something) would be truly easy to implement -- yet it seems not to have happened.

Unless this changes, I'm afraid my next sports watch will not be a Fitbit!

Fully Agree...

FitBit has been completely deaf to any feedback from the community...

It seems that Google's plan is to kill Fitbit...

It would be great if the swimming tracking could have a real-time lap or distance counting feature which would be accessible in the water rather than just time lapsed.

I upgraded my Versa to a 4 and have just found out it doesn’t display lengths as you swim, only a timer! The old ones used to do why has this feature been removed?

Dear developers, as you know well, the watch only tracks elapsed time. The phone app just adds number of lengths. This is a HUGE downgrade from what Versa does. When I decided to buy a my watch, I thought Sense 2 would be at least at the same level, if not better than the Versa. I am very disappointed.

Please add live lap tracking. Time is a bit pointless for most swimmers.

Yes showing laps with timing and how about swolf too.

Used to count laps in versa 1 in nice big font you could see with goggles. Now you have to get out of pool and sync app to know how far you have gone   Only in tech does in upgrade result in diminished functionality. Thank you to all the marketing MBAs out there!

Agree with #really_bored, On my first Fitbit I could see the lengths completed as I swam which was important to me. It baffles me why Google would remove this, I'll be switching to Garmin or some other make when I need to renew my watch unless I see positive changes from Google, and I don't mean adding extra functionality for Premium users.

Fitbit versa had this feature, battery died (should be able to replace battery also) had to get new Fitbit, does not have the swim lap feature so disappointing

Please bring back the swimming tracking that was there before 2020. I bought this watch back in 2019 precisely because it tracked swimming length, duration, calories, etc. The auto tracking is an unacceptable alternative for such an expensive device. I know the feature was removed due to a bug, but it is high time to bring it back.

Dear team, The swimming mode doesn't count lap and provide other analysis on Charge 6. Is there a plan to bring this function back? Most other brand products have functions such as lap count, identify strokes, speed, heart rate and rest. During swimming, I need to pause to exclude the rest time during swiiming which also unlock the water lock mode.

Please do the same for the Fitbit Charge 6.

It's absolutely ridiculous that I can't see the laps/distance on the screen.
