Allow Customers to choose between Dashboards

In the latest update of the Fitbit app, the Dashboard that customers interact with daily underwent a huge visual downgrade. It is far less appealing to look at, and harder to quickly see where you are with your daily goals. Please allow Customers to choose their dashboard, similar to how customers can choose their fitbits clock faces. It makes sense to at least allow a choice between the new version and the old version of the dashboard. PLEASE consider this.

To Vote for a choice between the new and old dashboard, go to "Feature Suggestions" - then "Allow customers to choose between dashboards" should be near the top of the list.

I can't see my current stats. I liked the old dashboard.

I guess they would rather see the company keep losing market share and tank
further - until there is nothing left to "moderate" - than listen to a
perfectly valid user input.

Hello @JoeKII.

Thanks for taking the time to share your suggestion with us.

It definitely seems like something other users would find it useful.

Let's see what others think about this.

It seems like this major update was rolled out way before it was ready to function reliably on all devices. Please roll it back until you can get this right.

Nothing else to say besides that it’s a terrible new design. Fitbit please don’t fix something that doesn’t need fixing!

Bring back the old dashboard please and thanks!

I got the "beta" view and explored it.

You can go back to the old one without reinstalling if you click on your profile (the little filing card button) and scroll to the bottom.  There is an option for "go back to old interface" or "remove beta" or something like that.  At least, I was able to do so.

Apparently, I have the newest update (if going by Android not allowing me to add another tracker instead of replacing the one I have) and have the old layout. I didn't even know there was a new layout until I found this post. I'm using a Samsung S7 (and whatever the newest update is from TextNow). So, maybe it's device dependent?

Please don't inflict this new dashboard on us. The current one is fantastic!

I’ll be giving Fitbit a month to allow users to switch back to the old interface or my wife and I will be getting Apple watches. Luckily I still have the old interface but my wife doesn’t. Having checked her app several times a week (after reading various instructions stating it is possible) there is no option to revert back to the old interface

My phone updated my Fitbit app by itself. I don’t like the new version at all. I would like to be able to choose which dashboard Style I want! The old version was a lot easier to use and see daily goals. Please make this an option!

Hi @Shelbo31! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. Post a comment or click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

Why would they downgrade to the current display? It’s hard to see the info at a glance and I find that I don’t even want to look at the app very often anymore. It looks basic and makes me consider switching to a different product.

@HannahBanana081 Totally agree - I simply don't use it anymore.  It's merely a means of transferring my Peloton workout data now.

Unfortunate.  I've been a long time customer... as soon as my current FitBit kicks the bucket, I'm out.

I do not understand why anyone would want a design that uses more screen landscape to deliver less information. Those screenshots in an earlier comment really demonstrate the point perfectly. Further, personally, I find the new look visually unappealing in addition to being wasteful, but that’s just my opinion.

Unlike some other users , all of my information is visible and I’ve had no issue using it, I just don’t like like it. Could I get used to it? Sure. But is that really the metric we want to measure against?

I love the idea of allowing user to choose different skins, like with the watch face. It would give the new design the opportunity to win out for the people who like it, without reducing the user experience for those of us who do not.

Hi. Today my fitbit app “updated” and a horrible, horrible new dashboard appeared. It is not user friendly and it makes accessing your data way harder. It looks less modern than the previous one. Somehow this was the reverse of an update. Very disappointed with fitbit’s decision to change a great looking and working app to this atrocity. Honestly, whoever designed it should be fired. Very upset. Please revert to previous dashboard. This makes me want to stop using fitbit.  Please give us an option to have the previous dashboard version.  Thank you.

Just hate hate hate the new app on my iPhone.  Too large and cumbersome.

Hi, I just woke up to a different app than I’m used to. Which is whatever, it happens. This though. It took away the things I liked about the app. I had the icons/goals arranged on a way that I like and made sense to me. Now it’s in a different setup and fixed. I liked that stuff changed colors when I met a goal, now looking back I don’t know have that major visual cue from previous days that I met goals. That’s just first impressions. I mean, I don’t like the look of it, but that could just be me not liking change. I don’t have enough visual/aesthetic vocabulary to express what it is about the look that turns me off. Anyways, just thought I’d let you know. I can see myself stop using Fitbit pretty easily with the app the way it is.

I do not like the new dashboard. My phone uodated it today. It is not at aglance easy to read and not visually appealing. Please give fitbit users a choice to revert bsck to previous dashboard. I see I am not alone on this issue.

Thank You

Please let us bring back the larger graphics and ability to see progress and fireworks. I keep my Fitbit because of these abilities, they keep me motivated. Otherwise I’ll just get a Garman like the rest of the family. I stuck with Fitbit because you had a dashboard with everything easily read with no extra clicking needed. This is much harder on my eyes. Aren’t there accessibility goals when you redesign? Why remove functions and make the remaining ones smaller and text based? Why so much white space?

I want to add my strong agreement for a choice. The new interface automatically loaded on my iPad yesterday with a message saying how much improved it would be. I don’t agree! I can’t get the old one back.  Not only is it less clear, but it looks dated - like something from 20 years ago.

Don't change from grid to a list on Dashboard app. I don’t ever remember opting into this beta test so if I accidentally did, how do I opt out? Btw, everyone who’s had the grid and then’s been subject to this beta test (with the list), hates it including me! Please change my app Dashboard back to a Grid interface 🙏🏻
