Allow Customers to choose between Dashboards

In the latest update of the Fitbit app, the Dashboard that customers interact with daily underwent a huge visual downgrade. It is far less appealing to look at, and harder to quickly see where you are with your daily goals. Please allow Customers to choose their dashboard, similar to how customers can choose their fitbits clock faces. It makes sense to at least allow a choice between the new version and the old version of the dashboard. PLEASE consider this.

To Vote for a choice between the new and old dashboard, go to "Feature Suggestions" - then "Allow customers to choose between dashboards" should be near the top of the list.

I hate the new design, scrolling up and down gives me a headache. Sneak peek was removed also in new design.

Given an option to change back to original screen after a few days would’ve been a great idea.  Please change it back!!

I too dislike the new app enormously. It is very bland on the home screen and I find not that easy to navigate to things I want not that FitBit want me to want. I too would welcome a return to the old App. If not like others on this forum I will be looking at alternatives.

Please take note FitBit that your consumers are not at all happy and ready to jump ship.

The new dashboard look is old fashioned and less user friendly. This is a fundamental aspect of using Fitbit and the design is a very important aspect of wanting to engage with the Fitbit usage (or not) I am a graphic designer. Design works at a subconscious level on the user to provide either an engaging, rewarding experience (or not). I am very disappointed as I loved using my Fitbit app before and now I don’t want to engage with it and am feeing demotivated. Please either rethink the design or revert to old one 🙏🙏🙏

thank you

Frankly speaking, the design of the new dashboard is just a disaster.

Please please please give me the option to go back to the last design.

Quite agree with re the dashboard being a disaster I hate it. Please change it back to the old one which had nice bright colours and was easy to navigate.

My charge 2 was faulty so I've just upgraded to the Charge 3 and accepted the new dashboard app, which I truly regret! Poor design and layout and the font is too small. I expected new and improved, not a downgrade. I can't believe your Design and Marketing Team signed this off. Please listen to your customers!! We should have had an opportunity to preview the new app first with the option to revert to the old one.

Hi @JoF70, thanks for taking the time to share why you would like to see this option again on the Fitbit Dashboard. We really appreciate your feedback. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. This is not currently planned at this moment. You can keep adding your votes to this suggestion so we can keep tracking this request overtime. Learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs. I hope to see you around.

Old view is way better looking, not to mention using the screen real estate much more efficiently.

Bring it back, or provide an option for user to select.

With this kind of design team, I really doubt my next watch would be a Fitbit.

Does Fitbit read these comments?

Thank goodness I read this before making the change.  I actually came here to find out why the Fitbit that I set up for my cousin yesterday was so different from mine.  I thought I had done something wrong.  Nice to know it isn't my fault.  Had to hunt all over to get it set it up ...not intuitive at all...and it still didn't look right so we  called customer service and she talked us through it...but it is not user friendly.  Before, a quick look would tell you everything.  Now...?

Thankfully, I have not changed mine and I will keep it as long as I can.   If Fitbit doesn't improve, I may have to look elsewhere. I have stuck with you since 2014 - but, maybe it is time to change.  Everything else I own is Apple - so maybe its time to make my fitness tracker there's also.

I just don't understand Fitbit.  I guess they just don't care what their users think

Agree with all these comments. New dashboard is terrible. And please get rid of meaningless sleep score. Not sure what the algorithm looks like but looks like a random number generator to me!

My current fitbit has a cracked screen - time to check out the competition for next weatable device. Shame as has been a great product up to now.

I agree with so many of the comments about the new app look. Blah colors, celebrations are boring, miss the hours on the steps per hour section, Syncing seems to take longer that before. Really miss the previous look - please consider going back or a new change with customer input before you change.

Thanks for your attention.

I was also advised upon contacting customer service to post my issue on this board. I cannot use this new interface and we should be given the option to change back. This user interface is not usable and I rely heavily on my Fitbit to which is currently impossible.

What I received when I **ahem**ed via the app on the new look. I am really hoping things turn around on this effort. My husband is a Garmin guy and I can understand why. Fitbit really messed up and now they have a chance to redeem themselves though sooner than later would be a benefit to all.

I was instructed to do the same. I agree with you 100%. I strongly dislike the update! I was going to delete my fitbit account in hopes of being able to rid myself of having to use this awful update! They need to figure out how to allow us to go back! Should have had that figured out before putting it out! All the issues make a bad looking update even more frustrating!

I am absolutely not liking this new dash! I can't imagine that others would, but - yes- if we could get the opportunity to at least go back to the old one, I would be all for it! I liked the previous for its colors, design and layout. And, to me, the progress was easier to tell in each category than it is now. I was completely considering buying my kiddo a fitbit for Christmas... But, I can't even imagine continuing with the brand if I have to look at two dashboards like this. (The horror. Lol) Please let us go back to the old one!

Very bland appearance and hate having to scroll to see  info. Less visible in bright light. Please let me revert to old app.

There are so many negative comments regarding this update in the App Store and all the developers are doing is given a canned response to everyone. The developers do not care because after all this isn’t directly hitting them.

My brother threw his Fitbit away because he thought it was messed up we didn’t find out it was the update until after.

I'm at a loss here, the only reason for having to scroll more is because the Fitbit users want challenges to be on the main dashboard.

The problem I see is the lack of being able to edit the puffy ruin of the challenges, we have seen this issue in the past and I suspect as in the past this will be changed in the near future.

Personally I don't see a big difference, other than lack of color, we are still in beta so this also could change with the final release.

I do like that the different screens seem to be more intuitive.

Please remember that as with most beta releases the product is not expected to be polished or trouble free.

The new update to the dashboard is simply awful. Bland, less user friendly, now involves scrolling and far more taps of the screen to find anything. Give us the old dashboard, or the option to use which one we find more Intuitive and attractive. I highly dislike the fact other people were given a choice on whether or not they wanted to update, where I had no such choice and was forced to deal with this newly found ugliness.

I didn't have the opportunity to see the 'old' interface, so I can't make any comparisons. However, I dislike the large amount of white space - for example, it would be improved for me if the heart rate and water intake were bubbles around the steps (or whatever users choose to have there). I don't need the editorialising (You did it) when it is obvious to me that I achieved my goal. The sleep information seems to be fairly arbitrary, so give me a link that takes me directly to the details of my sleep stages for the night. Give me an indication of whether my heart rate is regular or not. For the heart rate link, take me directly to the chart that show my heart rate over the day, and replace the resting heart rate with the current heart rate (shown dynamically) - and update the today's heart rate chart more frequently. In other words, give me useful information with one or two clicks.
