Allow night shift reminders to move (or customized hours)

Please allow night shift hours to be selected for reminders to move. I work 7p to 7a at the hospital and the current feature only allows half of my shift to be selected. It doesn't recognize those 12 hours as consecutive hours. It would also be helpful to select different time frames for different days. I work nights 3 days a week, but the rest of the week I am awake and active during the day. I'd like to customize the reminders for certain hours on specified days.

It would be great if you could view how many active hours (I.e 250+ steps) in a 24 hour period. For anyone who works shifts, especially rotating shifts, there are significant limitations in the current model where you can only track 14 hours of data, and if you change the activity time, all your previously achieved active hours for the month disappear.

As a shift worker it is frustrating that I cannot change my active hours to span beyond (or before) midnight on my brand new Versa.  This is a simple patch item, not a redesign/reprogram.  Considering how many Police/Fire/EMT/Nurses, MILITARY, and other first responders use the versa and other fitbit smart watches, you would think this "fix" would be a no brainer. Yet this has been a KNOWN issue for years.  Does fitbit not support our Military or our nations First Responders?

If a shift worker works a evening/late or night shift - outside the hours of 0900-2300, very few hours would be recorded, providing very inaccurate stand hours on the app.

Reminders to Move should include all 24 hours of the day and therby not excluding shift workers.

The Hourly Activity Goal currently allows you to set hours between 5 and 14 hours a day. It is extremely inconvienent for us who are awake and active longer than that. Personally i am about 16 hours a day. Please let’s get an extension for this. Something between 1 and 24 Hours !!! That would be best !!!

Currently using the hr 2 and have to reset the fitness tracker at midnight to account for the next day as well. Can you change it to where I wont have to reset the tracker or an ability to have 2 trackers so I do not have to take time out of busy schedule to reset.

How about updating the activity reminder to any 8 to 16 hour period of time. I dont need reminders while im sleeping during the day time.

Working 7pm to 7am the watch counts it as 2 different days! Would it be possible to maybe have a work schedule feature. Where you can enter your shift schedule so that when you are working night shift the watch and the settings adjust to those hours. The app could know when you are going to sleep during the day and put those stats in as 1 day instead of 2?

I work overnights 7pm-6am and I would like to customize my reminders to move over this period. Currently, I am unable to select an end time past 11pm, otherwise it is registered as a new day. Given the increased health risks of shift workers, it would be especially helpful to allow for reminders to move past 11pm (e.g., 5pm-5am would be my ideal). Thanks!

I just purchased Fitbit flex 2. The major issue (which is making me contemplate a return) is that I have to work throughout the night. I tried setting the activity hour from 6pm to 7am. The app does not allow me to do so. This lack of feature has made the activity feature (something that is really important for me) absolutely useless. I will be returning it till this feature is not installed

For those of us that work off shifts our active hours cross over days like sleeping does. It would be nice to be able to choose active hours between days and have them register for the day they started on. I work 10pm to 6am so it would be nice to be able to track that timeframe Or be able to track 10pm to 12am and also 12am to 6am as separate active timeframes.

Please please please make the Fitbit charge 3 so I can set my reminders to move during the night! I would love to set it from say 6pm to 4am. As it sits, the spinner to set the time resets itself and will not let you do anything past midnight. Annoying and unfair. Just let us set it for any time of the day. I work midnights and constantly walk during the night and sleep during the day.

I see that there are now 17 (seventeen ) pages on the request for night workers to be considered when it comes to steps being counted as a working day.

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Allow-night-shift-reminders-to-move-or-customize...

At what point are you going to start to listen to us?

17 pages!

My fitbit is currently broken (cracked screen) and as Christmas is approaching Im starting to look for ideas. I have been a loyal fan since my first fit bit, this currently being my third. But alas unless this issues is addressed soon, it will be my last.

I have tried the unusual suggestion of changing my time zone to one thats 12 hours different.

Marshall Islands if anyone is wondering..

But that doesn't work as EVERYTHING else is now compromised. meetings, appointments, alarms, ect. As i have said in previous posts and being from a software engineering background this is a very simple fix.

Hi @TheRidgeback, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option and for adding your feedback about this feature. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

re: reminders to move, it doesn’t let me make it from 4 pm to 6 am. I’m on 3rd shift . I think it thinks I’m making an error. Help . Thank you ,

A 24 hour clock , where you could pick 4pm to 6 am would solve this. This is restricted now. This doesn’t seem like a hard fix. Many people are not on 9a-5p hours

Thank you

Kevin

Please make the reminder to move option so it's not just limited to 7am to 11pm. Please make it to include those of us that work the overnight shift, 11pm to 7am. We should be able to set it to the hours we are up regardless the time of day.

it would be nice to be able to set the app to use active hours for some one who works night shifts. So for example I could set it to start at 10pm and finish at 6am
