Android Notifications

Hi, I just got the latest update (Sept 15th) for the android app and it seems like the notifications is now becoming a problem. Let me explain: before I use to receive notification of a call on my charge hr but now after setting it up, a notification always run in he Android drop list. And if I decide to turn it off (which is inconvenient), the fitbit app always reminds me to set it up :s can this be fixed? Tks

I have the same issue on a Nexus 5, it's extremely annoying.

The same on my Nexus 4. I like to have call notifications on my Fitbit Charge, but I do not need a permanent reminder that they are turned on. Is it possible to make that line in Android drop list optional? Thanks

Since the most recent update, I'm constantly receiving the notification "Notifications are running" and now when my phone rings, although I have the device paired with my phone, I am not receiving my incoming call notification on my device (Charge HR) any longer. Is there a fix for the recent update in the works?

Same problem here, very annoying. I dont need a permanent reminder! Please remove this option or let it be optional.

@cmlegend I'd recommend checking out this Community post on how you can turn off notifications in Android App version 2.11. It has a step by step workflow of how you can turn off notifications.

That's great for when you don't want to get call notifications... But what about "notifications are running" always showing up in the android notification drop down when it's enabled? I never use to have that when call notifications were enabled in the app...

Please remove the permanent notification that says "android notifications are running" from the notification pull down screen.

Same issue. When call notifications are enabled, there is a persistant "Fitbit Notifications" notification on my S4. I'd like to be able to keep call notifs enabled, but dismiss the general "Notifcations are running" one.

Agreed. I nearly uninstalled the app because if I do not enable the notification feature, I get the notification to enable notifications (it dismisses, but returns every so often). If I enable the notification feature, then I have the permanent "Notifications are running" notification. 

Do not spuriously and unecessarily clutter the notification bar people!

How I dealt with it: went into settings -> apps and found FitBit. Unchecked the "Notifications" box from there, so now FitBit cannot display any notifications on my phone.

Hopefully FitBit will let me know when they've resolved this irritant and I can re-enable general notifications.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I don't understand why the developers would think that it is a good idea to put a notification in the drawer that cannot be swiped away?

I like getting notifications on my fitbit but I hate having to put up with clutter on my phone in order to do so. I don't need a continuous reminder of the settings I have selected. I can't imagine what the drawer would look like if every app developer made the same decision.

The new update has fixed this notification being permanent on your drawers.... It's no more... Thanks fitbit for fixing it

When I switch on the Calls & Notification with my Android Phone, even if I am dialing the Phone Number, it Vibrates. I feel it is irritating to get Vibration for Outgoing calls also. Please Correct this Bug Immediately.

Go into the Fitbit notification menu and trim off Fitbit notifications.
