Ankle mode

Please make one u wear on ankle then u would get all the steps. When u are in a store with carts such as grocery, target etc it won't record all the walking one is doing with a cart. I have to try and push with one hand!! They can have pretty but functionally ankle devices some can be practically for a guy and pretty like an ankle bracelet for a women!!! Please develop this!! Soon!!

Just order a fitbit extension from DoubleRBar through ETSY and add it to ur Fitbit band to wear on ur ankle so u can use a Fitbit on ur treadmill or elliptical to record steps. It's very accurate!!

Hello,

Since two days after I got my Fitbit, I wore it on my ankle because I was frustrated when I walked the entire supermarket and realized that my wrist was stable because I was pushing the cart. I have small ankles so The large fit fine but maybe consider fitting one for ankles as it can take the same readings as the wrist. I also find it helpful when I cycle because my hands are holding the bars. We move our feet way more than our arms especially when they are in use, like carrying bags. Still keep the wrist model for those who use their upper body more but make the option to put either place. For example, weight training can be read on the wrist for reps and on the ankle for lower body cardio. Just a thought. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

This is a really good idea and I appreciate the time you took to share it with us. In fact, for some activities this would be nice. Thank you once again! Let's vote!

With the work I do I've had to start wearing my Fitbit on my ankle! Unless I want it constantly wet or counting arm movements as steps or any of the other things I have to do in a day's work.
I can picture how funny I will look if I continue this in summer!
I would love to see an ankle type Fitbit, just a pedometer, heart rate and calories I guess but in a nice band so it still looks like something you would wear around your ankle! And always replaceable bands, my HR is only 6 months old and the glue is already failing.

Yes many that I know wear the charge HR on the ankel. Yes my charge HR came unglued at the top seam, fell apart. many buy the fit one and a co worker that I know had invited a material that holds the Fitbit like an anklet to wear and it works.

The best one to wear on the ankle is the flex. Cause there are soooo many aftermarket bands for the ankle listed on etsy. I used Griffin ribbon wristbands on my ankle when I had the flex.

Also, I clip my Alta to my pony tail or the wait and of my underwear when wearing it on my wrist won't work.

I wish fitbit would make bands for the ankle. As a nurse I love wearing my fitbit my coworkers and I are currently in a challenge, but I hate wearing it on my wrist. If I am in a patient room only moving my hands its counting them as steps, plus as a nurse our hands/wrists touch places unimaginable. I would so much rather have an ankle band to wear to more accurately track my steps and to keep my fitbit cleaner.

I would love to see an arm band for the upper arm for Blaze. I am in the health care profession so that would be best for during work.
I am thinking about buying a third party expandable band and extra links.

I am quite tempted to pull my HR apart and make a band to suit or put a clip on it. Some awesome ideas!
Love the idea of getting a longer band to wear it on my upper arm.

I recently recieved a Fitbit Flex as a gift and was really excited to use it. But I've been disappointed by the lack of tracking my steps because it's on my wrist. As a nanny, I'm constantly holding onto something, carrying laundry, or pushing a cart of stroller, all of those actions don't have a lot of arm movement so I have no steps counted even though I was running around a grocery store or up and down through the house. Then it does count steps as I do stationary activities such as chopping vegetables or folding laundry when I take zero steps. The other problem I have is that I'm not supposed to get it too wet, so I have to take it off to wash hands or do dishes, and then I lose steps doing that too. It's frustrating. I use a large band on my wrist and it fits comfortable, but I run just a little short when I try to use it on my ankle. I tried a method of using a hair tie and a paperclip but it was irritating my ankle. I'm not concerned about the accurate calorie count, I want better step tracking. I feel like Fitbit should offer a larger band in stores or at least online for anyone to buy. The large band really doesn't seem to be all that big. I don't have particularly large wrists, but I'm on the 5th and 6th holes on the band. My boyfriend, who isn't overweight tried it on and could barely get it to clasp. It's really inconvenient that they don't offer a larger band to everyone. I've heard that people can receive one through customer service if they show proof of purchase, but since mine was a gift I don't think that would be possible. I love being able to track my steps, but wearing it around my wrist is really difficult.

I think it would be a great idea to have a band that can fit onto an ankle. I think it might actually be more accurate.

Fitbit HR specifically to be worn around the ankle, would be great. It would mean a more accurate monitor of steps, activity and HR.
