Ankle mode

Please make one u wear on ankle then u would get all the steps. When u are in a store with carts such as grocery, target etc it won't record all the walking one is doing with a cart. I have to try and push with one hand!! They can have pretty but functionally ankle devices some can be practically for a guy and pretty like an ankle bracelet for a women!!! Please develop this!! Soon!!

It would be my opinion that Fitbit never reads these posts and that's why
we don't see anything.

I wear my charge 2 in my ankle, I had the flex and would use a thin hair tie to secure it, the charge 2 with the large wrist bands for my ankle work, and I wear yoga pants or skinny jeans over it, so it's not going anywhere lol. it reads my heart beat fine and my steps way better, but I always read that Fitbit's aren't meant for ankles so it makes me think maybe the read isn't 100% right, but it's definitely more accurate than wrist when I compare the distance on cardio equipment. I really wish they could give a setting for ankle at the very least!

I wear my fitbit inside my short socks counts every step much more accurate then on the wrist!! They do sell a bracelet extension you can use on your ankle!! Is bulky in the socks so I just use the fitbit without any bracelet when I am working out!! Any just please ask!! Thanks, Mary!!

Hi Mary. I wear mine my sock during the winter but summer i don't wear
socks. I've never seen an extension, where do you buy it from?

I made my own holder for my Fitbit Flex so that I can wear it on my ankle. Saves buying one

You are welcome! And like I said....it really does work a treat and you don't even know you've got it on! You have to be careful and remember to remove it before getting in the shower though as it's easy to forget! 😉

First, my english is my second language.

And second- youll need a waterproof fitbit to be able to wear it 24/7

I have, and always will havevthe Flex. During the day I just slide it in my pocket. Problem solved.

 

Shopping, hands on cart, and no steps counted, was what I encountered nearly 5 years ago.

I found a FitBit extender online at Amazon. I put it on my Flex and it works like a charm on my ankle. I have a treadmill and an exercise bike and was swinging with one arm for a few years and hanging on with the other.  I put the extender on the FitBit and put it on my ankle during the times I am shopping, using the treadmill or exercise bike.  I love it.

Wow! Thx. I've since switched to the Alta instead. I got an extra long one so I can use it on my ankle too. (I look like a prisoner on home confinement. 😫)

Hello, I had a fitbit but I had to keep taking off due to work restrictions, well the band ended up broken then I lost battery. I really enjoyed your product and found it inspiring. My suggestion is to do an ankle fitbit. I would rarely have to remove and you can bling it up.this will do well because both men and women would go for this. Thanks robin
