Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

Include the sugar content along with carb fat etc in daily log?

Fitbit, please consider offering a blood pressure measurement device that is Wi-Fi enabled.  It would automatically log BP and HR measurements to a Fitbit log.  This would be a great addition to your product line.  There's only one other on the market that I can find.

Thanks for considering!

I agree.  I have a one and an aria, and use them daily.  I also take my blood pressure daily and have to enter that info manually.  There are a few BP machines that sync to an app or dashboard, but am not aware if any of the existing software/hardware will push data to Fitbit.  I do not want to have to go to multiple places to see data.

It would be great to just allow multiple sugar checking per day instead of the limited three time slots. I also need to track insulin doses, multiple per day at varying times. Time has everything to do with it (type 1 diabetic) because my ability to exercise is based off of my last sugar reading and insulin dose and how much time has passed. Right now I write all my stuff down shorthand in a very simple Android app called Glucose Buddy. It doesn't even sync online or do anything fancy, but it allows me to easily see my last recent glucose and insulin entries so I can predict how my body will respond to exercise.

I also request that grams of sugar be noted - this is a feature of My Plate.

Are there any plans to develop a wireless blood pressure/heart rate monitor that would send results directly into the fitbit software, much as the Aria scale does?  Or are there any available now that do this?

Any plans for a wireless blood pressure monitor?

Geat idea, I had a heart attack october last year and subsequently quadruple heart bypass. I now record blood pressure manually on a different app. Would be great to have everything together on the dashboard

Had the EXACT same idea.  Review of the messag board shows this is a popular and undeveloped idea.  Goes right along with the FitBit health strategy and health monitoring. And Aria BP and Aria Glucose with dashboard options to print out or email a report to a healthcare provider seems natural.  If FitBit doesnt do it, somebody like Omron will beat them to the punch.  Maybe a team-up.  Omran makes it and slap a FitBit label on.

Apple already has them to work with the new IHealth App but if you are not
an Apple user or in my case about to be a former Apple user you are stuck.
Unfortunate that you are the only person to comment on this, tells me that
Fitbit doesn't monitor the questions/suggestions. I hope they give some
consideration. The ability to email or print reports is a key factor.

I enjoy the Aria a lot and would like a blood pressure monitor with the same functionality (ie. Wifi, in app module and charting etc).
Currently I record it by hand and put it into a spreadsheet like a sucker.

I agree that having the ability to track your blood pressure with Fitbit would be great, but I don't see how it could be part of any Fitbit device itself. I understand that the Dashboard had a tile to log and track BP prior to September 2014 but it was removed. I think it would be acceptable if there was a combatible device that could link with Fitbit to record your BP readings which could then be monitored via the Dashboard. I bought a Surge after a heart incident to track my heart rate and exercise activities, mostly for my own benefit but also so that the information could be shared with my cardiologist.

Clearly it could not be part of the Fitbit device, I am suggesting a
separate device that works much like the Aria scale, transmit the reading
into the Fitbit software then having a report that could be printed or
emailed to you health care provider. Apple already has these that work with
the IHealth but not everyone has or wants an apple device.

I am type 2 diabetic and monitor my blood sugar level before breakfast. I now type my readings under notes at breakfast. This then shows up when I enter food log. I cannot compare my readings side by side. Is there any way that notes can be included in summaries, as i have found that using my flex tracker helps me reduce my blood sugars, and am sure it will help many other diabetics. I have a flex tracker   Alan

There is no way to make a noninvasive BP monitor that will be FitBit sized.  I agree an Aria BP and an Aria Glucose are at this point necessary devices!  FitBit is just letting money slip through their fingers.

Key to aquiring the data is sharing the data with the necessary provides.

I also agree. I already have the Aria scale and the Charge HR devices and i love them.

Since I have high bloodpressure problem that I need to monitor, it would be and extremely handy solution for me to have a blood pressure monitor, that would collect my measurements in to the cloud and that i could import easily in to an Excel sheet, to send to my doctor.

Dear FitBit team, please let me/us know if there already are any plans about a blood pressure measuring device.

Please also let me /us know, if there are no plans of this, then what solution would you suggest to go for, that can be integrated with your solutions to see all the values at one place.

Thank you for your great work so far and your answer in advance!

Agreed, please add this. It gives a daily total for everything else like Carbs, salt, protein etc.

We can create/add foods which allow you to specify the amount of sugar in a specific food so why wouldn't the daily totals be displayed for it.

Salt and sugar intakes are a growing major concern for most people.

I agree that sugar intake is of major importance - equally as important as calorie count in my opinion.  Please add this to the Fitbit.

YES!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us beable to add this feature! I have been trying to track my sugar intake for a few weeks now and its been a pain in the butt! it would be nice to have this feature on here, recently read an article and watched a doc on netflix about how our sugar intake is insane!!! we should only have about 25g/day (for adult female) and on average we get 76g/day and thats not counting soda or juice! I have been in shock after paying more attention to sugar labels, a regular coke has 60 something g's of sugar! crazy!!!!! all this low fat low cal diet crap they are pushing on us is a fraud! to lower the cals they take out the good stuff which in return makes it taste like crap so they add sugar...... our bodies cannot process this amount of sugar, so then it turns straight into fat. so your not helping yourself by buying these products and watching your cals. if you havent been ableto lose more than 10lbs and keep it off, like me......ugh!!! try this option and stay below 25g of sugar a day and watch the fat melt away, not to mention some alignments such as periodic headaches and such..... PLEASE MAKE THIS AN OPTION!!!!!!

Even a tile on the dashboard just to track it each day!

I couldn't agree more with this. I would be happy with just total sugar (although added would be a bonus, I imagine it would require a lot of work). Given how much sugar we often unwittingly consume, it would be a huge benefit to Fitbit's customers to be able to track it with ease.

With all the technology you already use on FitBit I would like you to add the ability to monitor my blood glucose levels.

I second  that you should add sugars to the breakdown of the food intake.  This is one of the most important factors attributing to many issues in the bod

This should really be a no brainer considering the effect sugar has on the body.

If you provide fat, carb, protien, etc. why not provide sugar content for at least store bought items or home prepared items.

It would be a wonderful addition to add a diabetic log.  Most diabetics test 2 -3 times a day and record their results by date, time and glucose level.  I love my fitbit flex and the dashboard is a great place to keep that information and would be handy to have that information all in one spot.
