Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

These blood pressure machines you mention as being trivial @Andy321 work the same was as a human would. Put a cliff around the arm. Pump the cuff up and look for a heart beat down the arm. By looking at the air pressure Iin the cuff it is easy to determine blood pressure.

Now let's remove the cuff, remove the ability to measure any pressure. Now let's try and read the bees sure by looking at some lights.

Remove the cuff and it makes it a lot harder to read the blood pressure.

Yes they for a while they have had watched that claim to read blood pressure. Some of the better ones need to be calibrated daily. Some of the cheaper ones simply say with your heart rate, age, weight, this is what your BP should be.

Thank you. I think with this addition the Fitbit can become a more
health-centered device that will work for many more people.
Have a great new year.

Hi @Char2021, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to track blood pressure with Fitbit devices. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

To be able to input current blood pressure manually and/or connect fitbit to bp monitor. This information would then be on the wellness report to give my healthcare team.

I too would love to have ability to at least self report my blood pressure readings in a Fitbit tracker app...both on the watch and in app.  Even better, look at including the ability to sync with a brand like Omron.

Agreed!  I would prefer the connected app option.  Omron seems a logical choice.  How difficult can it be?

Simply having a place to log blood pressure in the Fitbit app to allow a single location to track most health metrics would be awesome! Especially now that I can track blood glucose there as well.

It would be nice if the fitbit could check your blood sugar levels, it would also be nice if the sun could charge the fitbit while you walk outside

A couple months ago, I purchased a Charge 4 to track results after my upcoming weight loss surgery. Preop, I was on 4 BP meds, and 2 diabetes meds. Upon discharge after surgery, I was reduced to one med for each, before I had even lost weight postop. This necessitated very close tracking of weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar. Since Fitbit is all about health (and, I assume, GETTING healthy), even if you DON'T have a blood pressure MONITOR, it would make far more sense to at least be able to TRACK the blood pressure, wouldn't it? I don't yet have a separate app for it, so I keep it in a small notebook until then...until I lose it (which will happen). Please, add BP tracking!!

It seems like people have been asking for blood pressure tracking in the fitbit app since 2014. Whaddya say folks? Do you think 7 years of interest in a feature is enough to do it? Sure there are some apps out there you can use to track it, but you can't even link them to your fitbit profile. So, seriously, why don't you just Git-R-Done?

I am in full agreement. Time to blow away the Apple Watch!

Totally agree. Fitbit is falling way behind now. Its almost time to ditch the fitbits for cheaper more functionally rich models.

Thank you!!!!!! It’s been at least a couple years since I placed a request. FitBit response is always polite and no known development of this feature response. Frustrating.

I'm guessing its going to require purchasing yet another fitbit then? I hope not, I seem to have to spend almost £300 every year or so at the moment.

One drawback is that it is not easy to read blood pressure without a cuff and air pump, neither of which fitbit has.

I suggested a ring that would compress the finger and be linked to the fitbit via Bluetooth in order to measure BP but that didn't get anywhere either.

Technology has moved on so much and there are a plethora of other wearables out there that now offer this. There is an app, Fibricheck you can pay an expensive subscription for that links to fitbit for ecg's. My heart consultant said that it was good, but wanted it to report a shorter time period, it currently reads 5 mins and he wanted it at a minute. It helped to diagnose my AF and WWP the latter is difficult to diagnose if it isn't triggering all the time.

Kind Regards
Lian
