Bring back heart rate graph format in exercise tile

With the latest update to the fitbit app and the new interface, it seems the heart rate graph and ability to recategorize the type of exercise is gone. this was one of the main reasons I have and enjoy fitbit over the other trackers. Please bring these features back in an update to the phone app.

New format is messy.  This is not an improvement. Please restore the old app format.

I know there is an ongoing strategy to googlise Fitbit, but the graphs now for exercise are atrocious.  It’s impossible to see anything other than the average and highest heart rate which is of no use at all to anyone.  With all the other Fitbit features you have either removed or downgraded to the Google alternative it feels like the end desire is to push everyone to your competitors?

I agree 1000% I thought they would fix this in a few months but they still are ignoring everyone.

I have had been a fitbit user for over 10 years and I am now changing due to this - the new app interface is **ahem** and they have still not fixed it months later!!

Have you tried reinstalling the app update? After I downloaded the latest update (4.25) I checked and saw that my version was 4.21 after the download. The heart rate graph had disappeared on the exercise report and the heart rate graphs on the Exercise tile were distorted. The data wasn't recognized correctly. I downloaded again and the heart rate graphs reappeared as did the lap pace, not the lap times. I checked at the App Store and found that I had received 26 updates in the last 10 months but my version was still 4.21. Still no seconds on the exercise reports. If you're using the iOS version of the app try timing an exercise that is less than a minute. Your time will be 0. The question is; "Is Google going to fix this or is this death for Fitbit?"

My exercise heart rate graph has changed with the recent update. It seems the graphs is being drawn without as many data points. I don't really like it.All of my graphs prior to update looked like this. All of my graphs prior to update looked like this.

All graphs looked like the above one before the 4.25 update. Only place exercise time (min:sec) can be seen now is on bottom right.

Less data points are being used to make the graphs after the 4.25 update. It affects all past graphs.

Now they look like this! Now they look like this! The only accurate time at bottom right. The only accurate time at bottom right. Here's a 27:19 walk. Here's a 27:19 walk.

First, the update from a few weeks ago made the exercise tile heart rate graphs show less data, as noted by @magnetix. Now the most recent update has broken the “share” button so it’s no longer even possible to see a graph of heart rate vs. time for a given workout. Fitbit??? What are you doing???? It seems like this app is being designed by people who don’t care about fitness or rely on the product. You are forcing me to switch to a different tracker.

I agree. All the new formats are retrograde and my 6 year loyalty to Fitbit is over.

Slowly, slowly Google is taking away colours and layouts I found motivating and easy to read. The old colours were easy to read. Fitbit is becoming dull and soulless. I stuck to Fitbit over Apple Watch because I used find the Fitbit app more inspiring and easy to use. When my last Fitbit died I was very tempted to get an Apple Watch because much of what I enjoyed about the Fitbit app was gone. However I stuck with Fitbit because of the great battery life of the watch. Now though I kind of wish I hadn’t. The set up of this new watch was much less streamlined and intuitive than my last Fitbit. Today the heart rate feature in the app has become even more stripped back and turned into the new dull harder to read format. I’m not a Luddite I don’t mind change but every time Google ‘updates’ Fitbit, they actually make less user friendly and intuitive. I am so disappointed. This will be my last Fitbit unless someone at Google brings back the creativity, fun and joy this app used to have.

I couldn’t agree more as I’m considering moving to an Apple device now after having Fitbit for 10 years. Woke up to find that the heart rate zone no longer shows any data. Every time there’s an update, it becomes less and less use friendly. I really hate the app now. It looks dull, it’s less informative and it’s constantly changing for the worse. Wish Google never meddled with what was great already. They’ve completely ruined everything that was great about FitBit. The switch to Apple is a no brainer now.

I ended up contacting Google "support" for fitbit because I couldn't
understand all of the arbitrarily invented icons and symbols on the app
dashboard. Circles, partial circles, check marks and there's NO explanation
ANYWHERE of what they mean. Someone just makes up symbols that make sense
to them but there's no legend created?

I use Fitbit almost exclusively to track days in AFIB vs sinus rhythm. The display of daily moving averages of resting heart rate provided a good visualization of what was happening over time. The lack of grid lines on daily heart rate also sucks big time. None of the “improvements” resonate with me.

The new heart rate graph is not an upgrade.  Please return to the old format.  Thank you.

After 7 years with fitbit this change has finally made the watch and app useless to me and will just use my apple watch going forward. Why big companies have expensive devs and users designers who take away basic functionality is such a huge mistake.

The main reason I bought FitBit Sense2 was the heart rate graph as I’ve a heart condition and need to monitor what it was during activity during the day.

New layout is just no use to me at all.

please reinstate the previous graph display ASAP.
