I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.

If I am understanding correctly, you (meaning Fitbit) have heard all our complaints and have decided to still DO NOTHING except keep telling us to voice our concerns on the community page. Well, as one of your long time customers that is NOT acceptable!
Moderator: 1) there have been SEVERAL separate threads addressing the disappearance of the step streak feature. Can Fitbit consolidate all those separate thread comments- because this is just one thread. 2) can Fitbit proactively ask for a vote on features?

Isn't the aggregate of threads equaling 1,000+ votes sufficient to at least raise it with your UX and Product teams?
PLEASE REVERSE THIS CHANGE AND BRING THE STEP STREAK BACK!!
To everyone else, I encourage all to go to LinkedIn, search for FitBit employees working in UX, Product, and Customer Service and posting, tagging them and/or DM'ing them directly. They should hear from users directly if this feedback isn't making it to them!
Please bring back this feature!! Why would you discontinue it? I feel like it’s a really important feature within the app that is very motivating for people!
Also - where do we vote for this feature to come back? I feel like, in general, the company is really not grasping what its long time users care about. I reached at 365 day streak, and there was no badge for that which I think is insane and such a missed opportunity. I am incredibly disappointed with this update.
I started up an old iPad I had, that has the iOS which is not high enough for the update so I can still see my streak on that iPad. I don’t believe Google cares what we users want.
How does removing a highly popular feature enhance user experience. From the hundreds of messages concerning this feature it was not only popular but a very important motivator. Which is the very basic function of a fitness device. So we are attempting to contact you with our concerns.
Completely agree with everyone else. It seems over the years that whenever the app is modified, it takes good functionality away, and any new functionality added is not helpful. You took the step streak away?! Really?! The biggest motivating factor for using your product? I have little reason to continue using a Fitbit now, after 8 years. Time to begin researching the competitors - unless you decide to bring your most useful feature back. Add my vote to fixing your now broken app.
I agree 100% that consecutive days of meeting my goal step feature is a huge loss to my use on my Zip! Shouldn't be a huge step to restore it! If FitBit is really interested in people using their products, it would make sense to restore this feature. I have had several up over 600 and miss it a lot. There are a lot of options out there and I have a feeling many Fit Bit'ers will be going elsewhere!
Please keep the features that people use! Love your development of all of your new products but remember that all that new tech would not be possible without the help of your original subscribers!

As many others have mentioned the streak was a major motivator. I hit 1000 days in mid-September. I am due to get a new fitbit type device this fall - bring back the streaks before I have to decide on another brand to go with!
The step streak was a huge motivator! I had over 1100 days before you released the new app. Why was this changed?? Why was there no notice/specifics provided on upcoming changes to the app? I have been using a Fitbit for many years and am not happy with what Google is doing. There have been many more comments about the missing step streak on other Fitbit forums. Has this been reported to product development?
I don’t know. I reached out on Instagram and they sent me this:
The step streak feature is no longer available. Don't worry, your step data remains available. You can go to the step tile to view your step data and determine which days you've achieved your goal. We’re constantly re-evaluating the best way to provide our users with a holistic view of their health and wellness. Please bring back the step streak! This is highly motivating! I looked forward to seeing my progress daily and always made me try harder on the days when I wanted to not keep going. BRING IT BACK SOON!!!!
I, for some reason lost my continuous day streak on October 3rd of 2023. I had previously had over 800 days with at least 10,000 steps. I had the same on the 3rd and every day since. I get no streak info any longer, I see no activity checked for the 3rd even though the daily count shows I exceeded 12 k steps. I have been wearing a Fitbit since 2016
