I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.
Why does FitBit take away the features that are the most motivating, like the step streak? Does anyone developing the technology actually use a Fitbit?
I am just baffled that Fitbit decide this was a good thing to remove…a feature to keep people motivated! Unless I’m delusional, this is like one of the most common things people care about: how many days in a row they have hit their step number. This feature needs to come back!
The step streak has been a huge motivator for me and the fireworks made me feel celebrated. I loved Fitbit’s sassy sense of humor, which seems to be gone along with the battery percentage and dashboard that has some personality. It now feels impersonal and monotonous. The app was the main reason I stayed with Fitbit, so if there are no plans to fix this, it frees me up to try other trackers. Fitbit, please bring these wonderful features back!
Like others, I’m very upset with the change to remove the streak banner. This was my main motivator each day to see that number (391 days as of the upgrade). Also, I work in the Digital Marketing field and to me, this shows the Fitbit App decision makers don’t know their users at all and this is a huge miss by them. It really does make me want to finally make the switch to Apple after 8 years staying with Fitbit to keep my past data. Please bring the banner back.
Completely disappointed that I lost my daily step streak with the upgrade to the new app. I was in a streak for almost 2 years and now that motivating feature is gone. I didn’t even know it would disappear when I upgraded so ghee is no way to know where I am so I can manually track it. Not impressed with new app features.
Why wreck a good thing? The new app is bland, colourless and dull. So much white space. It's lost meaning, which is pretty bad for a data provider. So sad there are no fireworks when target has been met. Who thought it was a good idea to remove the fun? I don't bother with the silly icons, I want words and data, and I want to be able to differentiate one set of data from another. Fitbit - please just put it back to the way it was.
It’s absolutely unreal! I would say besides daily step counts, this was the second biggest motivator in the entire app! Makes ZERO SENSE! They say it will be corrected “within the next few months”. This is too late! It needed to be fixed yesterday! It’s so stupid that this feature is gone that I almost have to think it was a mistake. I sure hope so. If not, they don’t understand what a “motivator” is!
