I commented on this many moons ago, but I have more information.
I had a conversation (chat) with a Fitbit representative and she said they have no plans to reinstate the dashboard. However, she did say:
"We're constantly striving to improve Google and Fitbit products and services, and we appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. The best place to make your voice heard is the Product Feedback board on our community (community.fitbit.com/t5/Product-Feedback/idb-p/features).
If a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their suggestion and add your comments."
And.....
"There's a short survey coming up. Fitbit would appreciate your feedback about your experience today. Thanks for contacting Fitbit. Have a great day.
I'm not a senior, but if I'm going to be studying and evaluating my fitibit data I would prefer to do so on a larger screen.
Here is a list of some of the advantages of having the web UI: - Better overall UI experience. The convenience of viewing it in a web tab and being able to switch between it and other applications cannot be under estimated. - Bigger graphs, easier to digest, - More ergonomic -- with a laptop you can adjust the screen to a comfortable height if you will be viewing it for a long time. Not so for a phone! - controllable font size - potential ability to print reports - export data directly to your laptop or excel/google sheets - ability to print reports - ability access your data anywhere - Facilities more UI options
@kmurphy2000 I hear you. I posted something similar a few weeks ago, and then received a private message from one of the Fitbit team notifying me that my post was removed because it contained irrelevant content "off topic" content. In reality, my post was very on topic but because I had written that I was considering moving over to a different company's device (and advised that this would be the only way to get Fitbit to listen), Fitbit clearly saw that as damaging to their brand.
The reality is this: we all have a choice. We can stick with Fitbit, or we can leave:).
Try myfitnesspal. It will sync with Fitbit, and I know there are several more. I like this program as you can pull in recipes by URLs and it will match all the ingredients. If not, you can edit them any way you like and you will get the nutritional information from it.
Spending almost $1,000 on a Garmin Fenix 8 to have the web dashboard? Yikes! That's devotion to web! haha I like it though! I've been with Galaxy Watch 7 for awhile now. Not because of the dashboard, but because my Sense 2 stopped tracking my runs consistently. If you're looking for Fitbit Dashboard, you can find basically the same thing → https://dashboard.exercise.quest/
