Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

Before it was also great because you can press the sleep info and easily just see your history of sleep scores/quality/times etc. separated into days and weeks. Now you have to press a separate thing for that and then have to choose ur time interval.

The older way showed a lot more info in 1 screen and yet was a lot more legible and easy to read and understand.

This new one totally sucks.

The format and colors of the sleep chart and how it's all just configured, tabbed out etc. It's a huge devolution of the UI!

It’s still there. You need keep holding your finger on the line when you move to the relevant ‘awake’ section.

Just press and hold your finger on the bottom left of the graph and then
drag it to the right and it will display the times you're looking for as
you go.

Still hating the new sleep display. PLEASE bring back the old, colorful version, where I could get so much more actual information!

I came here to say the same thing!! I’ve never felt compelled to make a comment, but the new sleep data is repulsive to look at & unsatisfying. So off putting that I just realized I hadn’t looked at it in a week. Whereas I used to look at it daily religiously.

New benchmark display does not show the age appropriate range.

It’s awful! There is too much going on in the timeline. I can’t figure out what’s going on. The old timeline was SO much better. Go back to it please!

Thank you for this, but unfortunately I don’t think this solution works for us with iPhones. I hope Fitbit updates and permanently fixes the app for all.

Has anyone found an acceptable replacement sleep tracker/watch for the Fitbit?

Has anyone found an acceptable replacement sleep tracker/watch for the Fitbit? I am shopping around but haven't decided yet. The Apple watch is just so expensive and the reviews of some are very good. Have any of you tried something new?

I totally agree. The sleep app quality now is significantly worse than the last 8 years. I specifically use my Fitbit to track sleep. It’s VERY important to me. But this new presentation has significantly less detail, does not allow precision by the hour tracking and the graphs are too small to read. I valued being able to see a landscape view of each type of sleep and track hour by hour what quality of sleep I was getting. I’m very upset that this has changed to something less clear, less detailed, poorly presented and of limited use. Revert this immediately and remove the designers from your development team.

Hate the new sleep tracker. Why fix something that wasn’t broke?!  Can’t see how this was an improvement.. hard to read, can’t increase the size, reduced stats. Ugh!  Anyone find a good alternative to Fitbit?  I’m searching

I am searching, too. Would like to know what other ex-Fitbit users find.

@jtpryan Thank you!  Thank you!

This worked great, just had to change a couple of permissions to be able to download it. I had wanted to ride things out to see what happened but I have had enough.

The “update” to the firmware on my Versa 2 is HORRIBLE! I contacted Fitbit and they said my device cannot go back to the previous firmware. I have used Fitbit for many years and will now look at an Apple Watch.

Completely agreed. I especially miss having the restoration score page with sleeping HR and O2 variation lined up with each other. The data layout is now horrible and difficult to find.

I HATE THE NEW SLEEP GRAPH! What were you thinking when you created what you must think is an improvement over the old graph. Also bring back the color. Is use to be clear when I wanted search for my heart rate with the red heart. ❤️

Please bring back old sleep data. New update is horrible,  hard to read.

What did you mean that your benchmark began working? How are you able to see what benchmark our stats are compared to?
No benchmark indicator is available on mine still.

My conversation with Fitbit this morning because it broke my sleep into two different sections that are not valid and we are now no longer given the ability to fix that, once again showed Google’s complete disregard for its customers. They simply removed that feature on the premium app, and have no intention of changing anything back to actually working for us. Everything they have done has proven that they took over Fitbit to destroy it and substitute their own devices and apps.

Hi Helen,
I don’t know how I started an email chain with everyone who has commented on my post regarding the completely broken Fitbit premium app. However, I am also on an iPhone and I’m not sure what you tried that didn’t work. My conversation with Fitbit this morning because it broke my sleep into 2 invalid sections, thus giving me completely inaccurate sleep info only resulted in them telling me that our ability to fix that was taken away, along with the other parts of the app that they destroyed. It is again abundantly clear that Google has zero regard for customers and has no intention to give us back a usable app. It is now apparent they bought/took over Fitbit in order to make both its devices and its apps obsolete so that we would switch to Google’s devices and apps
