Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I hope they will listen to their users and make decisions based on what we have to say.  That is the only reason I take the time to post comments and feature requests.  If enough people speak up about things we don't like, then perhaps FitBit will listen.  If people just accept that they won't listen to us and don't say anything, then that just assures us that they won't.  I see thousands of people who don't like the new look of the sleep reporting.  I have spent good amount of time trying to learn and adjust to the new look of the sleep reporting.  The new sleep stages graph (whatever you call it) is just harder for me to understand or "see."  The benchmark view is at least similar to the old one that I can understand that.  For those struggling with the new graph, the benchmark view may be helpful.  It also feels a lot more cumbersome to use and it feels like it is showing me a lot less information. I hope FitBit will listen to us, but I'm looking at alternatives now in case they don't.  The changes to the app are so big it feels like a different product than I bought and I wouldn't have bought this one.

I agree.  I bought a FitBit device because of the sleep tracking in the app.  It is like a different product than what I originally bought.  I wouldn't have bought this product.

If they are not able to change it back how are they able to publish half of the data in the the old style on the You tab /Feed/ little running man or moon icon. That shows some of your sleep or activity data in the old style. It doesn’t make sense!

New App layout, readability, and use is horrible. Pervious was great. Please change or go back. I am not using my Fitbit like I did in the past because of this. Had been thinking of upgrading, as mine is a bit old and beat up and I never take it off. If this app is not approved I am moving on.

PS: I usually adapt to attempted improvements. This one is so bad I had to say something, and the last time I complained about a product was in 1981. Not a regular complainer.

When my subscription runs out, if they have not changed the sleep display back, I will start shopping for other products. This new sleep display is demotivating. Anyone else thinking like me about looking at other products because of this setback?

I wish I had read the comments before updating the Fitbit app. Like many others I hate it. It is very user unfriendly to the point of being unusable. I will be looking for alternatives to Fitbit.

@JackieJay  Yes, most definitely. Waiting for my birthday and from reading people’s recommendations here, will probably go with a G*rm!n. I’m disgusted with not only what Fitbit/Google have done to the app but also the way they’ve treated their customers.

Me too!! Can’t wait to find a different tracker I can actually read and
use.

I totally agree, "I’m disgusted with not only what Fitbit/Google have done to the app but also the way they’ve treated their customers."!

The destruction of the Sleep tracking portion of the app has 1000s of
Fitbit owners leaving Fitbit as a tool. The Sleep app was the one piece of
Fitbit that actually provided real use (rather than just reference
information).

With the functionality of the Sleep app gone, most are switching devices (I
am moving to Oura)

The new sleep app is a definite downgrade. I paid for Premium because of the sleep info and I don’t feel that it's giving the info I paid extra for.

I Agree with all these comments

This will be another story of a company that went bankrupt because it
alienated & ignored its onetime loyal customer base. It will be traced back
to this debacle & the mistakes it made.
I, like everyone else, only kept my fitbit because of the detailed info it
provided on my sleep & daily walks. I have an apple watch & it provides way
more now than my fitbit does.

The new sleep UX is super hard to process. I just asked customer service and they weren’t able change it back to the older version for me.

The main landing chart is super hard to read - I think the colors aren't contrasting enough, and the lines make it hard to process. I keep looking at it and being confused, it is work to understand.

And the list of sleep per day at bottom doesn’t give me all the information I want or used to have. I can't see an easy view of my sleep start/end times each day just scanning the list (that was removed). And when I click 'week' it only shows me the list of one weeks sleep at the bottom, I can't keep scrolling down to see more which I love to see my history to compare days over time.

Everyone should realize by now that Fitbit does not care that we all hate the new sleep tracker version.

They know how we feel, but obviously do not care and have no plans to revert back to the old version or make any positive changes to the

new version.  You can call customer service, as I did and are told that they are forwarding complaints.  But I'm pretty sure they are told

to say this & ignore whatever the complaint may be.

Nothing we say in the fitbit community forum makes any difference whatsoever.

Absolutely Agree!!!!

I agree with all the others in this thread. The "new" updated Sleep is awful. Please bring back the old Sleep. I liked being able to tap on a  color to see how many actual minutes I was awake, or in deep sleep, REM or light. I can't do that any longer. Please bring the old sleep back!

Please play back the latest update. We relied heavily on the sleep stages, benchmarks, and oxygenation. How shameful to take it away now and make us pay for it.

My son and I both regularly monitor our sleep patterns using the Fitbit app. Totally agree, with comments related to the new graph system - it is confusing and not at all easy to read/understand at a glance. Please give people the option of reverting back to the old graph style if they would prefer!! At the moment neither of us are using this feature - it's become somewhat useless.

For me I want to see how much time I spend in REM and deep sleep, which is
absolutely essential to knowing if you are getting good quality sleep. That
used to be readily visible and you could see when you entered each stage
and how long you were in it. It is not enough to know how long you slept
and how long you were awake or restless. I think you can get that easily
anywhere.
Does Oura tell you how long you are in various stages of sleep, such as REM
and deep sleep?

What I miss the most is the ability to see exactly when I was at what stage. It didn't have to be perfect, but I like to know if I was awake for 30 minutes at 3:45. Now the graph doesn't allow to see any info to a closer degree.

Definitely a downgrade!

Absolutely agree!! The sleep tracker is dreadful now, and definitely not accurate and even the day of the week is wrong.  I liked the old layout, it was easy and I can’t understand why they’ve changed it.  I don’t want to change to a different watch, or brand as I’ve always used Fitbit, but  whoever changed the layout needs to give their head a wobble. 😂

What on earth is wrong with Google? The sleep tracking feature was one of the primary reasons I have a Versa 4. I need to know my sleep stages. It's now worthless. Why would you take this away? In the past year, you have taken a good product and removed each and everything that brought the long time users to Fitbit. I have had a Fitbit tracker for 9 years.

Bring back the Sleep tracking feature. This is pretty much useless to me and millions of other users. I now have an overpriced pedometer.
