Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I believe they are phasing out Fitbit for the pixel?  I don’t think they will be changing the Fitbit sleep.  I don’t know what the pixel sleep looks like.  I did consider the pixel but I have iPhone by its not compatible.  I changed to the other brand and very happy.

Honestly, I have had so many issue over the last 2 1/2 months,  and I have had many, many emails back and forth with customer support and I was about ready to give up, but everything seems to finally be corrected and all aspects in the app and device recording everything is now working great with the most recent update to Fitbit App Version 4.38. If you are a die hard fitbit user like I have been for the past 10 years, I would suggest you make sure you have this most recent update and then give it a try again and see how you like it.

I agree, I am still not a fan of the lines for the Sleep,as it is not easy to read but did you now that if you hold your finger on it it gives you a vertical line and you glide your finger across the screen and you can get specific details of your sleep.

Everything else seems great and working (Finally).  I am a premium user and I think I will hold onto this a little while longer and see how things continue to work and/or improve.

I am a Charge 5 user currently and I have had many of the older fitbit devices but I really do like the Charge.

Best of luck!!

I would not upgrade to a Charge 6 until you absolutely need to. There are
additional changes from Charge 5 to Charge 6.

@Sebirdie What kind of changes from Charge 5? Thank you.

What kind of changes are there from the Charge 5 to the Charge 6.  Are they good, bad, indifferent?

Puolala:

There is an app that someone designed when Fitbit got rid of their dashboard on the computer.  Its pretty good.  You link your Fitbit to it and you can see your stuff on the computer. IT is very similar to the old Fitbit. Check it out and see if it will help you. The link is below

Sorry, but it’s been awhile.  I not only upgraded to Charge 6 which I believe is not as sensitive as Charge 5.  You can’t pick your exercise…it loads about 18 exercises and walking is last.  It has to “learn” your favorites.
I also switched from Android to IPhone at the same time.  Makes a difference on the app… so very frustrated.

I am trying to find a replacement but dont want the Apple Watch as how often it needs to be charged.

sorry I can’t give more examples…but really frustrated when I realized what I was missing.  Now it’s just part of life until I find a replacement!

@Sebirdie Thank you so much for your reply. Hopefully my Charge 5 holds out a little longer. I’m planning to change to a different brand after the mess Google has made of Fitbit. Thought I might hold out and get a Charge 6 but after reading your reply, I think that’s settled it for me.

Sebirdie:

Thank you so much for your honest input. Switching to Apple from Android im sure is challenging enough never mind upgrading your device to charge 6.  I am an Android user and will never go to Iphone and I am wondering what the difference in the app may be from Android to Iphone.

with that being said, If anyone went from a charge 5 to a charge 6 on android, could you let me know your thoughts. I was planning to upgrade but now I am not sure.

Thank you!

They are not going to bring it back apparently because many people have
written about this. If you haven't updated the app (I did not) you might
still be able to access the old one as I have been able to do.

I record my daily walk and if I press on the data for that it takes me to
the Walk page and there is an up arrow at the top of the page. If I press
on that and then press the sleep icon on the next page it takes me to the
old sleep summary. If you don't record a walk but record another activity
it should still work.

Best of luck

Yes with each update the Fitbit app gets more complicated to use, less interesting to look at and less functions.

The old sleep chart use to be interactive. You use to be able to move your finger along it and find out between what times you were asleep or awake.

Also known if I record my walk on my Fitbit it no longer tracks a map of my route.

What is happening?! Why is it getting so much worse? It should be getting better.

The new sleep timeline on Fitbit is a poor replacement for the original.  Also, looking at it on the phone rather than on my laptop doesn't give the detail it used to.

I will be canceling my premium soon because I’m not paying money for something that has no value. The old charts showed me my heart rate throughout the night so I could tell where it was in the beginning in the middle of my sleep and the end now I get one dot. These new graphs provide no value.

On April 9, the sleep timeline on the Sleep page changed. No longer does it display the stages Awake, REM, Light, and Deep sleep. Now it only shows Awake, Restless, and Asleep. The detailed sleep stages have vanished, as well as the three buttons for Sleep stages, Benchmark and 30 day average! Do I now have to pay for Premium to get this data?

Please bring back the view of sleep data that gives you the past 3 months, one month or 12 months of data points from the current date. One data point at the beginning of the month or year or week that you cannot connect to the previous data points is utterly unhelpful in viewing trends. This data is useful in monitoring mental and physical health.

Greetings --

I want to vote for the prior sleep summary page be reinstated.  The highly truncated and minimally useful version is NOT what I paid for when I subscribed to Premium.  Sleep tracking has always been one of the best -- and for me, most important -- health component Fitbit did head-and-shoulders above the rest. It's one of the main reasons I have stayed with Fitbit.

Vote, everyone, and move this item up in priority!

You are correct. I also got an Apple Watch and ditched my Fitbit. BUT, I have now ditched the Apple Watch as I continue to have frustrations using it. Probably my fault….. I have resurrected the Fitbit.
