CIBC banking (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce)

Hello: I really want to buy the Fitbit ionic, I think it's great. I already have the Fitbit flex 2.

I won't buy the Ionic tho, until you've partnered with CIBC, I bank wIth CIBC, and once I can link and use my bank card with the Ionic, please let me know and I will head out to buy it 🙂

I have previously had a Charge 2 and updates to the Sense over a year (?2yrs ago). It is a real disappointment that there has been no movement on this over the yesr with no new Canadian banks added and clearly reflects a disrespect for the Canadian market.

Overs 5 years and no change!

At least put the top Canadian national bank

Or put Google pay on all devices, at least

Hi. I don't want to burst your bubble but FitBit is not going to address
your concerns. I have rarely seen such an obstinate company. Personally,
after purchasing four FitBits I moved on to Samsung watches and I couldn't
be happier. No GPS issues, no update issues or any other of the shirt
comings of FitBit.

Just my $.02 worth.

I was very sad because I brought my watch thinking that I could pay with it anywhere, Unfortunately this payment method is only for some banks and there aren't any of those banks near where I lived. especially you realize about this when you already bought the watch.

Hi @REFH. Thank you for sharing your Product Feedback with the Fitbit Community. Before anything else, let us explain that we recommend contacting your bank directly as it's required to get their approval in making contactless payments from your Fitbit device. While it’s up to your bank to decide if they want to support Fitbit Payments, we appreciate the time taken in sharing your feedback regarding this feature.

That being said, please reply back with the name of the bank and region/country. This will help us to better categorize this idea, consolidate the discussion and make sure the popular vote doesn't get split. We look forward to your response.

It doesn't work and I chated with one of your team members, and they told
me, that is because of the country and the bank. (Canada, CIBC). There
isn't any option to let me ask my bank to authorize fit pay.

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,

CIBC is still not listed as a supported bank it looks like. I have my cards set up in Google Play, but it fails to add to my Fitbit.
