Call Notification Should Vibrate Like Alarm

When receiving a call the vibration should continue for the duration of the alert ("ringing") on your phone, with the option to "silence" the notification by pressing the button, like the silent alarm function.  In its current state, it's way too easy to miss an incoming call.

I wonder if it would be possible on future software releases to use same vibration pattern on Fitbit Charge HR for incoming calls as it is now used for silent alarms (3x short vibration-pause-3x short vibration). Currently, incoming calls only vibrate once and vibration is very short so I already missed/overslept few incoming calls.

The biggest reason for upgrading from the Flex was so I had caller id.  I've tested it on the charge and so I know it works but not once have I noticed it when I had a call come in.  The vibration is just not strong enough.  Please give us this option to have a vibration more like the alarm.

Completely agree.  Someone tell me how to vote yes for this, so I can come back again and again until this is added.  One single tiny vibration when receiving a call..."come on shelly...come on"

seriously, I'm prepared to create as many user accounts as it takes just so i can vote yes repeatedly until this is added.

Hello developers,

I'm going to keep this simple...Please give me the option to select call notification vibration patterns.  The one single quick vibration when an incoming call is received just doesn't cut it lads.  If no selectable pattern options, at least program the vibration to continue as you did for the silent alarms.  I would suggest until the button is pressed, call answered, or cell voicemail picks up.  Thanks Fitbit development team.

I found the vibrate alarm useful for when you are asleep and your phone is on silent to let you know of an incoming call. However, it would be better to be able to set the vibration to more than just one buzz like text alerts...

agreed.

I find that the short single vibration is insufficient and suggest that you should permit the user to set the number of vibrations or possibly the vibration pattern. Obviously this would affect battery life but that should be the users decision.

I would really like to see my Charge vibrate the entire time the phone is ringing, I keep missing the single vibration. This small change would make a huge difference. I appreciate that it may take a while for the phone to contact the fitbit before it starts to alert.

@geoffnotjeff - I agree 100%.  The call notification also needs to repeat until the call is answered, goes to voice mail or drops.  I have missed calls because I couldn't tell the difference from a text notification.

I also agree.  Would help if it would vibrate mone than once.

I have reviewed all the comments posted in Dec 2014 about the need for Call Notification to vibrate multi times.  Is anyone at Fitbit even looking at this post and when might we all expect some progress in adding this feature?

I agree. On top of that if we miss the call, I would love it if it would have a notification that tells me "missed call"! I think that's needed for this call feature to be reliable.

How can I turn off the "silent vibration of incoming calls".  I work nights and sleep days, the vibration wakes me.  Totally frustrated with interrupted sleep.  Any ideas..

Hi

I love the possibility to receive call notifications on the Fitbit ChargeHR. But it should vibrate more than only on time.

i often did not realize that someone tried to call me. It should be possible to let it vibrate till i pick up the phone (like many smartwatches do)

Thank you very much and best Regards from Switzerland

Hi, Can I set Charge continue vibrating until I pick up the phone call? Because charge vibrate only once, I don't feel it.Smiley Happy

Totally agree, one of the reasons I purchased this and why I am looking for something similar for my wife is so that we understand when someone is calling. It is a totally wasted feature in its current state.

I think it would be great if you could set the number of vibrations, on your fitbit, when someone called you. It only vibrates once right now.  It would be great if you could set it to 1-4 vibrations when someone called.

Gave up on Charge, purchased a Garmin Vivosmart which does that WELL and a lot more notifications that can be configured to your preference.

I was super excited about the call notification feature. But i am dissapointed that the vibration is super quick and very faint.
I think the software should be updated. The vibration should last longer or until call has finished and be stronger.
Very disappointed in the charge feature of the notification vibrations 😞
Please add this feature to last longer and stronger

My Charge HR used to have a constant vibration for caller ID but now appears to have changed to a single vibration.Just one vibration is not enough to realise when an incoming call arrives.

For phone calls, it would be cool to have the Charge buzz-buzz...buzz-buzz (!) so it's different from when you hit your target count the day. The citations are the same & it's not clear if it's a call or reward! Or just have it vibrate until you answer the call at least, rather than just briefly as the phone starts to ring.

Thanks for considering!!

At present on the Charge, an incoming call only buzzes once and as such is easy to miss, especially if you are asleep.  It would be great if this was configurable to buzz more than once, or to buzz until the button on the Charge is pressed or until the call is answered.

The call ID DOES NOT WORK on the Charge.  I just bought it.
