Hmm - I wonder how many X-Fitbit owners on Macs have switched to some other device because of this issue? Having to turn off my bluetooth on my iPhone in order to sync too? Guessing Apple users are not your target market.
Unfortunate, as it's one of the nicest desktop interfaces I have used
Not everybody is a "smart phone slave" ;-). How about making challenges available on the computer? It really sucks not being able to participate in any challenges that people sent you because you have no way of accessing it on your PC/laptop.
I would appreciate the challenges being added to the web dashboard as all the others have previously commented. I do own a smartphone but prefer to keep it disconnected from the web and Bluetooth during the day or while at work. At home I now can use the Win 10 app evidently but at work we're on Win 7.
I also want to access this on my dashboard on macbook. Does premium offer this? I have been invited by someone and I just don't do the 'phone thing' that much.
I don't have very many friends right now, and a few of them can't participate in challenges because they don't have a smart phone. It would be really nice to see this added to give them a chance to participate!
Nope. Support as completely ignored my emails about this. So looks like it's not going to happen unless we start a new thread or get everyone to email support. -___-
I am unable to have cellphones inside my work building so the online dashboard is the only way for me to view fitbit information while I am at work. I would like to see the challenges added to the dashboard so I can check out where I am compared to my friends.
If I can do other things, such as add alarms via the desktop. I should be able to accept challenges via the desktop. Im not understanding what the big issue in doing this is? and NOT by windows 10, because when you have to download the app... your then using the app not a computer . Even if being able to view and track challenges isnt on the horizon for desktops... accepting the challenges shouldnt be discarded.
I was directed to this thread concerning viewing challenges only on our phones and not on computer dashboards. Noticed that this has been something your users want since at least 2014!! Come on engineers get with it!!
By the way, on a programming level making challenges available on a PC/laptop is easier than on phones as apps. But I guess this one falls on deaf ears. Very disappointing........
Maybe it's just me but I think everything that you are able to do from the app you should be able to do on the website/dashboard. I've seen posts from 2014 asking to have challenges add to the dashboard but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. You took away the BG & Blood Pressure logs . You could at least give us the abiltiy to join challenges from the dashboard.
@PureEvil, that still leaves those of us using a Mac out, plus the folks on other Windows systems. It seems really bizarre that fitbit hasn't responded in over two years of customers repeatedly requesting this feature. If it's not technically possible, they need only to explain that. If it is possible, not responding (either by adding this feature or at least by communicating about it) is just not good customer service.
Yes, I understand that it doesn't address everyone's needs (older versions of Windows, Chromebooks, and Macs), but it does offer a solution to many folks that simply weren't aware that this is available (like @toni60). While I understand that this request has gotten a lot of votes, when you consider that Windows 10 was released after the feature request was submitted, and there are many folks who simply didn't know that this (Windows 10 Fitbit App with support for challenges) was available, I suspect that many folks who had voted for this feature are no longer affected.
Incidentally, Fitbit has had a Windows App since Windows 8, and it has been able to participate in challenges (at least since 8.1), so it's not just Windows 10 PC's.
Yes, it works. Here's a screenshot of the challenges from the Windows 10 Fitbit App (with notepad hovering on top, so people can tell I'm running on a desktop):
Without reading all 11 pages of other peoples' messages, and seeing a message from an Admin saying you were looking into making the challenges available on the dashboard (that post was well over a year old) what is the status of this? You ask for input and we are giving it to you, but I see no followup from Admin or Fitbit..
You changed the dashboard without real notice, how about making something that people are asking for??
