Check SpO2 at anytime on supported Fitbit devices

The new Sp02 clock face is nice, but can you also add the ability to check Sp02/pulse ox at anytime during the day rather than just during sleep?

100% agree! I hope they add it soon as I am now considering a different device and possibly a different manufacturer.

I agree SPo2 should be allowed 24/7 not just when we sleep at this point its useless for the most part and I hate I must use a certain watch face to even see the stats when sleeping. At this point paying for a sense watch was pointless as SPo2 is very limited and semi useless and just semi plotless eye candy.

If I'm reading this correctly, the charge 4 will be getting the live s02 on
the device soon.

No it won't and the article is misleading at first glance.

After reading the article, here is the detail about it :

The release notes for Update 1.100.34 state that "Your Fitbit device can
now estimate your blood oxygen saturation (Sp02) while you sleep". In the
morning, you'll be able to view this estimate by swiping up on the watch
face to reveal a new Sp02 tile.

But it does state that you can see your average s02 on a tile in the fitbit?

Yes you can which is the info that was taken during the night while
sleeping.

It's not a on the fly data you can get like your heart rate, EDA or ECG
type of info.

You need go wear your watch during your sleep and get at least 3 hours of
sleep, then you'll see the data in the app on your phone or on your watch
if you have the watchface with the sP02 info.

That's the trouble, no watchface available for the charge 4, I'm hoping it
comes soon!

place on the screen that you'll be able to view the info.

Yes, continuous/OnDemand SPO2 is essential! Looking at nighttime averages does not help much. What if I feel weak during the day? I would like to be able to check SPO2.

I picked the Fitbit sense to read my spo2 level. I didn’t realize it’s only overnight readings. 
This is not helpful to me. I want to know it when I ask it. 
The low nighttime readings are causing me great anxiety!

 Please supply an app to read on command, like Apple.

Nigey_Boy got the SpO2 function unlocked on the Charge 4 providing an average SpO2 figure for the previous night. The Health metrics tile does not provide the report which is only available for ONIC, SENSE, and VERSA. There is no instant reading. Please add the report to the Charge 4 App and an instant reading function.

I just got the Charge 4 and love it. I came from using a Garmin device which provided SpO2 reading on the app and had the ability to measure it anytime during the day which would benefit me. Please add this feature to the Charge 4, I would think it would benefit a lot of others not just me.

To be honest, given how other trackers already display a graph of SpO2 history in the app, I'm amazed that this feature wasn't made available by default as soon as the Charge 4 gained the ability to actually take an SpO2 reading. The code required to display the data in the App has obviously already been developed, so what justification is there for not letting Charge 4 owners have the benefit of it?

I would make use of this feature daily if it were made available.

I ordered mine yesterday, and I thought SpO2 reading was already on it but I understood it was not. I am pretty mad now since I am buying the charge 4 after my charge 3 died on me for no reason, AND there are still no SpO2 readings which does'nt make any sense to me. As said before, it is clearly already coded into the fitbit, I am not gonna buy that big chunk of a Versa to get my readings, I got asthma, I wanna get my reading when I am trekking on long stretches like 3-4 days in the woods. This thing is pretty expensive for a tracker that will not give me the data it is already collecting anyways. It needs to be on the charge 4.

I suspect that the Charge 4 would not have  the battery to track 24x7 however an instant reading should be possible.  Tends to involve stopping for a couple of minutes if you are out and about.

You are luckt I dont understand why none of the SPO2 watches constantly measure.  I have the newest a sence, should have saved my money and stayed with my versa

 Please add full time spo2 reading to the next fitbit app update or have a standalone app  to download for your  sense/Versa 3 lines of smartwatchs to be at par with your competitors..

Yea I have lung issues and the O2 measurement on demand or even in some type of interval of 5-10-15-20-30-45-60mins would be very useful. I mean if you could rely on it to detect when your having oxygen issues related to Asthma or other lung related issues it would be super helpful. Knowing my O2 levels while sleeping not very helpful

With all the examples why Sp02 would benefit us for having the on-demand
Sp02, Fitbit should really give us that feature!

I saw a video stating the FDA approval has it on hold. They can get a vaccine passed in weeks  but takes months and months for a simple SpO2.  I bet there is a way around this for a customer watch face or something.

As long as we are on the topic.  Why doesn't fitbit.com or the fitbit app show or store the data? I would like to be able to chart all the data from my fitbit.  I had to remove the clock face with SpO2 as my Ionic2 only lasts 3 days with the extra data collection.  Here's an idea, test SpO2 every (say 5 minutes), And if other metrics change (pulse, ...) trigger a SpO2 reading, also if the reading is below (say 95%) then decrease the interval to collect the useful data, when it goes above 95% for (say a minute) return to the baseline read interval.
