Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

The only challenges provided are only based on the number of steps. Please allow customers challenges to be created, or provide some new ones such as kilometers biked, number of active minutes, number of floors climbed.

Thanks

I'd love to customise how long a challenge is. For instance July is important for a lot of people raising money for charity to walk 10,000 steps a day for the whole month. So sad I cannot create a challenge for a whole month!!! And then divide it down into the days. Will be a bit of a faff to remember everyday to start the challenge again...and then it's not really a daily challenge of you're doing it for a morning. How amazing it would be for fitbit to acknowledge this UK popular fundraising event and make it possible 🙂

It is absolutely ridiculous that Fitbit has not commented on this very upstanding post or changed the restriction on the challenges. 😑

I'd love to challenge my friends to active minutes, goal day streak of X days, or percentage of/over daily goal.

It would be more fair and more fun than sheer number of steps because the age range of my Fitbit friends ranges from 21-69 yrs, all with varying degress of fitness.  I've been averaging around 17k, but of my 15 active friends, 14 of them are under 12k (9 of whom are are under 10k).

Yes very frustrating. They don't seem interested

Everyone please make sure you are voting for the idea in the header of this string - it does not seem to have gotten very many votes since I checked last. Votes really do help as they use that partly to decide what to work on next from users perspective.

I agree I just don't understand why we are not allowed to have challenges with more than 10 people at a time.

Please please please!!! We need new challenges and or the option to create our own custom challenges! Eg: who can do the most floors in a day/week. Who can do the most exercise in a day, who can get the most 15 minute walks in a day, etc etc.. Let us create our own challenges to challenge the way we need it. The current challenges are so basic & getting boring doing the sane ones over & over!!

Can you create a challenge that allows 2 people to partner up and compete to get the most steps in a day? Since 10 people can be in one challenge this would allow 5 teams of 2 to compete.

Hi, can you all increase the number of participants in a challenge to 15 or 20 even? Also, can the number of challenges per week be increased from five to 20? Thanks

Hi
It would be really good to have challenges other than steps, as we have found some of us have to do 25% greater distance just to get the same number of steps due to stride length. This stops people taking part in the challenges.

A great challenge feature would be to create groups of people in challenges. So the groups are in challenge for e.g. a five day challenge.

The only reason I continue to purchase fitbit instead of the competition is because of the challenges. When you have so many customers complaining about the limits of only allowing 10 people it would behoove you to fix it. There will come a point where we make a different choice.

It seems pretty clear that Fitbit either doesn't care about building new challenge features, or letting us know that they are. Either way, this is really frustrating. At almost 40 pages now, this forum feels like an endless cycle of us asking/recommending changes, and Fitbit responding with silence.

I'd like to hear something definitive from Fitbit, but don't ever expect to.

Any idea when we will be able to create a challenge?

I agree!  My friends and I would like to create challenges like the most stair steps in a day, or the most steps over a holiday etc...  Please create the option for custom challenges!

The 5 challenge limit makes it very difficult to keep active challenges with friends. While I can see how casual users don't run into problems it becomes an issue when you live a very active life with serveral active group. I'm hoping Fitbit will consider either increasing the limit or removing the limit all together. Even if there is a small fee for removing the limit I know most users who are active would be okay paying a couple of dollars a month for that added feature.

Any official update on the roadmap for Challenges? I'd just like to know that something is happening!

Hey Fitbit,

How about some answers? Or even just acknowledgment that you've seen all these requests? Maybe you could just post a quick note telling us what you think?
Any response? Hello?

Fitbit please make the choice of a custom challenge for those who don't work M-F. Also if I could be in more than 5 challenges that would be great. Right now I am having to pick which ones to do and that sucks

I strongly agree.  My coworkers and friends would love to have some flexibility in the challenges - this may create a new wave of fitbit customers.
