The most annoying thing to me is that there's no quick way to add 12 or 20 ounces, which are very common cup and drink sizes. But there are two ways to enter 16 oz (tap 16 oz once, or 8 oz twice), three ways to enter 24 oz. Yet I don't recall ever seeing a 24 oz bottle of water. Where did Fitbit come up with that?
Actually, the most annoying thing is how Fitbit continues to ignore the demand for this request.
The bottles of water I buy are 16.9 oz. It would be convenient to be able to use the quick add bottle, but without customization, I have to enter them all in manually.
Since there is already an 8oz setting there is no need for 16oz and 24oz as you would just need to tap 8oz as many times as needed. There should be other increments. 16.9oz bottles are very common in the US. It would be helpful to have 16.9oz as a Quick Add option.
I would suggest (for my needs) 8, 12 and 16. That makes it possible to enter, with one or two taps, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 32. But as RobsT indicated, 16.9 is common, too. That's why it should be user selectable in settings. But Fitbit doesn't seem to actually care what we want.
It seems these feature requests are routinely ignored by Fitbit. I've likened this to the thermostats on the walls of office buildings. They don't actually do anything, but they make you feel better because you think you have some input.
Adding to the request list. I have a reusable "24 oz" bottle, but if I fill it to the actual top, it is 31 ounces. I'd love to create my own button for that as I fill it many times a day.
Juliewicz: Stop being so greedy!!! Only fill it to the 24 and make more trips to the water fountain. You'll get more steps . And pressing 8oz 3x will make your thumbs stronger!
I really hope that we can adjust our quick add water amounts. My water bottles are 16.9 oz and that adds up when you are drinking 5 to 6 bottles a day. Please add an edit for the quick add bottles on our Android Apps.
This feature will never happen as it's too difficult to implement. Fitbit app programmers are not skilled enough to pull this off. It's a rocket science.
BTW the default sizes make entirely no sense for metric based Europe.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but unless they totally ignored programming best practices this should be easy to implement. The real issue seems to me that Fitbit has a major "not invented here" problem. If they didn't think of it first, it can't be very important. That's why they're going to give us enhanced sleep tracking features, which literally no one has asked for, but ignore requests with more than 1,000 votes.
It's not that they can't implement this or any other nice feature that we've been asking for a long time now, it's that fitBit just doesn't care about what users want. This whole FitBit community here only exists to give us the false impression that somebody cares about what we want, but in reality they couldn't care less.
To be able to customise the water quick add feature would be FABULOUS as each time you bought a new bottle that was different from your last you could just update your settings, it is a little frustrating to individually add when in a hurry so as not to forget.
Seems 3 years is a little long to wait on consumer feedback though, someone is dragging their feet when there is quite a lot of people requesting the change..........
I would also love to see this. I use 2 specific sized glasses to drink from, and it would be so much easier to be able to add them with just one click.
Yes please! I used to use an app to track my water that had a customizable quick add, it was super helpful. I may go back to it, but I don't want to use two apps to track my nutrition.
There are "only" about 750 votes for this, between this thread and others. Fitbit apparently doesn't consider a request valid until a majority of Fitbit users ask for it, or something like that, because they pretty much ignore every request in this forum. Don't hold your breath waiting for this one, as they're too busy adding features that no one has asked for to add the ones we have asked for.
In 2017, I SHOULD be able to set or choose in preferences, not only the SIZE of drink (in ounces or liters) I use on a regular basis, but also the STYLE of drink container I use.
I would like to be able to customize the "presets" Fitbit has chosen for me. I know I can change them manually, but again, in 2017, I SHOULD be able to set my own "presets", so all I have to do is click on the icon(s) in the size(s) I have per-determined to use on a daily basis.
I mostly use aluminum water bottles & mugs in a variety of sizes (12 oz, 14 oz, 16 oz, 20 oz, 33 oz, etc). I rarely use a "glass", so if they could let YOU choose what style of drink icon(s) you want to use, that would be soooo helpful. Maybe even add more icon options, both in physical size (sm, med, lg), color, or transparency, so that if you use several different styles of drink containers, you can make them stand out from the others.
This shouldn't be an issue as it is not so much a change needed with the Fitbit Charge 2 (or whatever tracking device model you use), but in the app itself on the iOS or Android device.
Seriously - how is this not a feature yet??? I use the ml settings & they are illogical. They are all increments of 250 - what is the point? If I want to enter 500 ml or 750 ml, I can very easily tap the 250 ml 2 or 3 times. The glasses I use at home are 350 ml. Obviously, the only way to put this in is manually. This can't be that difficult to do. Yet, the original request was 3 years ago...and nothing. I'm not sure why I'm bothering to add my comment here as it seems an effort in futility, but why not?
