It would be nice if you could customize which water amounts were available in the quick add section. I use a 20oz bottle and that’s usually what I want to add, but because that’s not a standard quick add, I’m constantly typing it in which makes the quick add basically useless to me.

let us be able to customize our quick add water. meaning, let us choose what ounces we want.

Customizable Quick Add bottle sizes would be excellent.

I would love to be able to customize the water bottle icon to better track my water usage. For example, i use a 20 oz water bottle. And the quick add icons  are for an 8 oz glass a 16 oz bottle or a 24 oz bottle. None of which work for me and i am sure other folks!!

Where I live (the USA) the water bottles don’t happen to come in the sizes (250ml, 500ml, and 750ml) that are presented in the mobile Fitbit app on my iPhone.  Pretty annoying, I can’t just punch the “handy” little button, I have to manually enter the 1000ml, or 700ml, or whatever it happens to be.  Seems like it wouldn’t be too much bother for Fitbit to allow me to tailor these buttons.  And why make it so they are all either metric or English units? I mean, the tumbler on my desk holds 14 ounces, and the water bottles I use hold a liter, why not allow ME to set those two values on my phone, and just tap the button?  Instead I have to enter it over, and over, and over again.  I post this suggestion mainly for self-amusement, because I am completely certain that Fitbit doesn’t pay ANY attention to these posts — they’ll just send me repeated “thanks” and “we’re looking into it” every few months, but — but I’ve got a few minutes to spare, between all my needless water-volume entering duties on their app.  So, what the heck?  I guess I’ll risk it!

I have a 30 oz bottle on my desk at work.  I usually fill it twice each day.  PLEASE consider letting us customize our "quick entry" buttons.  It gets really old having to go through multiple buttons and screens to enter everything.  It is a simple change and a lot of people would benefit from it....would seem like a logical win-win for Fitbit.

Customization for the amounts of quick add water is actually the reason I came here... There’s no containers that are 8oz of water, wtf? My water bottles hold 32 and 64oz of water.... and I drink cans of sparkling water that are 12oz... Why are neither of these an option? 😞

Nobody at FitBit is listening.

The developers do read and take notice, but I think I've only seen one response on this board by a developer.

As for which suggestions get added please see the FAQ

GREAT!!!  Problem solved!  All I have to do is buy ANOTHER Fitbit because they WILL NOT change the app. NO THANKS.

PS: If you want people to think you actually CARE about your customers DO NOT tell us your failures are “interesting”. And DO NOT say you wonder what other users think. Read the thread and you’ll know what we think.

I'd also really appreciate this feature.

I have a 27oz Klean Kanteen which I'd really like to be able to add to the quick add menu. Manually having to enter 27 each time dissuades me from using the water logging feature.

GREAT NEWS!!!

While FitBit doesn’t consider the ability to customize drink sizes worthwhile, there is a VERY SIMPLE solution!

Just use a graduated mixing bowl to mix 10 fluid ounces of quick-setting concrete, and pour this into your Klean Kanteen. Allow one week to completely cure. Now you can log your drinks as 750 ml!!!

Although the FitBit mobile app will continue to fail your meet your needs, this “3rd Party Solution” should suffice.

And be sure to buy more FitBits!!!

This doesn’t bother me any more because I’m using MyFitnessPal and I enter everything there. It remembers the last three sizes you input.

I was trying to kill the discussion. No need, I've found out how to unsubscribe.

Twelve pages of people either asking for a simple software change, recommending abandoning the FitBit app for competing products, or just giving up. I bet if we wanted a different color band, FitBit would be all over it.

pelicanesis has won the internet today!

Fitbit only cares about things they can monetize. Adding features to an existing product doesn't bring them new revenue, so you'll rarely see that done. My Charge 2 seems to be slowly failing, and you can bet I won't replace it with another Fitbit.

I would live to be able to change the quick add amounts. My bottle is 650ml and it would be so much quicker to just hit the bottle button.

Please add Customizable Quick Add Water amounts!  I log my water intake multiple times a day and would love this feature on the app!

FitBit should be so happy you took the time to contribute, and to do your part to improve the FitBit experience.

They SHOULD be.

After YEARS of pleading by DOZENS of users on THIS PARTICULAR SUBJECT, which should be very simple to implement (it’s just an app update) the folks at FitBit have answered with...

(Drum roll)

A recommendation to ABANDON YOUR FITBIT APP on all your devices and...

USE SOMEONE ELSE’S SOFTWARE!!!

Yes, expect an email telling you to go THIRD-PARTY APP.

No kidding. Because they only make money selling HARDWARE you can expect hell to freeze solid before these guys do ANYTHING to improve the app.

CONGRATULATIONS you have learned your lesson.

DON’T FORGET TO BUY MORE FITBIT DEVICES TO SUPPORT THEM!!!

Even worse, the 3rd part app ONLY works on the ionic, so if you have any other model Fitbit even that option isn't available to you. My Charge 2 is my first, last, and only Fitbit product I'll own. I've learned my lesson:  Fitbit doesn't just not care about it's users, it actively disrespects us.

Fitbit blathered on

"Status changed to: Third-Party App

Hi @BanjoMinnow and commenters, thanks for sharing this suggestion. Whilst there are no plans to release this feature on the Fitbit mobile app, this Feature Suggestion has been developed by a third party developer, and can be downloaded from the Fitbit App Gallery available on Fitbit Smartwatches. Now you can add customizable water amounts directly onto your Fitbit Ionic. You’ll find it by selecting your connected Smartwatch (such as Fitbit Ionic) in the Fitbit app, then choosing the ‘Apps’ tile and toggling to ‘All Apps’ at the top of the screen. You can then explore third party apps by category and choose your favorite of the relevant options available.

Please note that if you have feedback or a suggestion for the third party app, you can contact the developer directly (if they have shared their contact details publicly). Open their app in the Fitbit App Gallery and you’ll find their contact details under ‘app details’ or ‘clock face details’. Thanks."

Please note that this app does nothing for us if we don't have an Ionic. Thanks for a non-answer that once again demonstrates Fitbit's arrogance and lack of respect for it's customers. Thanks for NOTHING.Smiley Mad

The problem is, implemented as a app on the iconic doesn't work unless you have and carry a mobile phone with you all this time.
I sync my iconic with my desktop computer, I don't have a cell phone.   The applications that are being written for the iconic all require access thru a phone type device to get to the online fitbit site where they do their majic.   So the only place I need different water sizes in within the FITBIT windows 10 app itself.  NOT ON THE **ahem**ED WATCH.

The FITBIT view of their products is so incredibly limited, only syncing using Bluetooth, wifi on the watch device that's only used to sync larger music files, gps tracking that has to be uploaded to be useful...  If I had known what I know now I would never have spent the money.
The iconic should sync with its FITBIT app using wifi, much better reliability and range; falling back to Bluetooth only when in range when all else fails.  The fitbit app should be able to connect via tcpip when it's on a network capable host and not require a dedicated wifi interface.

and simple things like water bottle sizes should be parameter driven from a settings file and not something that requires rocket science to modify.
I don't know how FITBIT ever when public with software this badly designed.

Fitbit seems to view hardware as a profit center, and software as a cost center, with said costs to be minimized as much as possible.

Why in the world is this so hard for them to get this done? Makes no sense.
