Dark Theme in Fitbit App for Android and iOS

Hello, It is a sincere request to add the dark theme for the android application as the appearance of the application during night time is very bright and with the dark theme it will be easier to use the application and not cause any harm to one's eyesight

It seems amazing that the sleep suggestions talk about reducing exposure to bright screens before bed time but the app still doesn’t support ios13 dark mode!

This really came to my attention whilst ticking off the sleep check list in the “Get more Zzz’s” program and being blinded by the bright white space...

Time to catch up please! App NEEDS dark mode compatibility!

I am requesting this feature again because both iOS and Android now have native system dark themes and many apps are adopting dark themes that activate when the system dark theme is turned on. I think Fitbit needs to seriously reconsider adding a dark theme for the mobile app. The bright white of the app is very harsh on the eyes at night or in dark environments.

I’ll look for a third party option till they get one. Just to glaring white!  All my other apps have joined the future. Fitbit needs to get on board.

Still hoping we get a dark mode by this year. Note that almost every app has this feature it would be nice if Fitbit followed.

Please can we have a dark mode setting for the Android Fitbit app. More and more apps are including this now to reduce eye strain and I think it's a really good idea! Thanks very much! 😀😀😀

Please reconsider the Dark mode theme for the app.

It's terrible to wake to a full on white screen, especially as it can take ages to get results.

Furthermore for a company professing health claims its hardly healthy to be confronted with a white screen for so long as its bad for the eyes. But it makes a VERY good torch!

The misconception that black on white is an equivalent to reading on paper is prevalent.

In fact it is the same as looking directly into a projector showing black text on transparent slides - very bad for the eyes and no one would do that.

Not to mention that it consumes a lot of battery of the phone.

Most other apps have recognised this deficiency and have introduced coloured or white text on a black background. It is time that Fitbit conformed to the new way, don't you think?

I know this suggestion has been posted before but the featured suggestion was from 2017 and seems dead now.

A dark mode would be amazing as it has many benefits. As mentioned previously in other posts at night you won't be blinded. Not only this but it can help save the battery life on the phone. Also as someone who uses all apps on dark mode where possible it's more pleasing to look at a darker screen than a very bright one.

Come on guys, it's 2020. Get your **ahem** together. Current app is unusable. Unless you like to stare in a lightbulb all the time.

I know this has been requested 3 years ago but I feel you guys need to take notice and bring your app in line with the times. Most Android apps have a dark Theme and Android 10 itself has a native dark mode. It's easier on the eye and it's about time you stopped ignoring this request. Feel free to move this to the original thread where there was no option to comment. If your app developers find it too difficult, perhaps find someone who can actually do it? Listening to your consumers would be nice.

There doesn't seem to be a dark mode for the Fitbit Android app. I can't believe such a mainstream ecosystem wouldn't have one of the single-mode desired options in smartphones. The bright white app is blinding. It's enough to keep me from using the app. It's literally the most unappealing interface of any of my installed apps. At least add some tint or gradient shade/color. Surely I'm just missing the setting somewhere.
