Ok, so this may sound silly, but I was looking at my Blaze and thinking about the old Tomagatchi digital pet I had as a kid. My mind wandered into a magical mashup fantasy land where a little digital pet had gotten into my Blaze. To feed it I had to burn calories, to play with it I had to get steps, that kind of thing.
We can already set goals for a variety of metrics, how cool would it be to have a visual representation of reaching those goals in the well-being of our Fitpets? Kind of like the flower that used to show up but more interactive. It could be in the app for most people and on the blaze for blaze owners.
I have been trying to get my wife excited about using her new Alta, but she misses the smiling face and flower from her older fitbits. I think if there was even an icon that represented how her pet was feeling it would motivate her to meet her goals. Also if there was a cute kitty or puppy or baby monster waiting she might even open the app more than once a month.
I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it could be monetized easily. Pay for premium pets. Pay for costumes. Pay for toys or whatever. And have a basic free version.
I know it's only a glimmer of an idea, but it could be interesting...
