Enable Celsius units on weather app without having to change distance to kilometers Ionic/Versa

Currently the ionic will only  display Celsius units when the distance unit is in 'kilometres'. It would be great if the ionic weather app displayed Celsius units regardless of the distance unit selected .... E.g, miles .

If it’s as successful as others are saying, please make it available to the remaining 90%. We’ve all been pretty patient waiting for this change. C’mon now Fitbit...

I can confirm my tracker has been showing C on the weather app all day and all other settings in miles 🙂

Hopefully they'll roll it out to us soon

Ok this is getting annoying now. I'd it such an ask that I want death and
distance to show in the measurements my county uses? It works so please
roll it out to the rest of us

This has gotten beyond a joke, the earlier post from Fitbit said the fix had been released, we then find out that it's being rolled out gradually. Do they have so little confidence in their testing that they cannot release it a little quicker than this, surely only a small amount of the codebase was updated. I wish I'd know about these issues and the terrible support before I bought my Versa. I foolishly thought that the watch would be a step up from my old Pebble - sadly it wasn't and this will likely be the last Fitbit I buy.

Me still waiting for Fitbit to release the update.

I think the ‘solved’ post didn’t make it clear that the recently announced firmware update could well be what’s fixing this, not a simple app update as some have assumed. There’s quite a bit of noise on the forums that the firmware update hasn’t been easy to install. It does strike me as strange though that Fitbit have only released it to 10% of users - sounds like they’re being used as beta testers, whereas you’d expect that to have been done internally or with a select group of volunteers before release. The fact that they’re having problems and have stalled at 10% rollout doesn’t augur well.

I can safely say this is my first and past fitbit device I will buy it
really is as simple as that... such an obvious requirement for UK users we
shouldn't be having these issues

I'm not sure that these 10% were beta testers as such - usually beta testers are volunteers, which these don't seem to be.  But although, like most people, I would rather have the app fixed as soon as possible, if having to wait means that we don't get several bad updates and then one that almost works, followed by a further update which no one wants (which is my opinion of the way that Microsoft operates) then I for one will take the hit and wait for a couple more weeks (I should hope it will not go into months, though).  Fitbit, IMHO, is not the bees knees, but I think my Ionic has had a positive effect on getting my arse in gear during the day, so for now I won't be skriking (as we say up north).

Well, my simple request for a global solution has certainly generated some activity. No sign of any firmware update for me but actually at this moment in time, I would rather Fitbit talk to the Pebble development team so that they can implement Bluetooth - re-setting it every 24 hours is not what I would call 'fit for purpose'. I'm thinking that I might go for a Oura Ring instead and scrap the Fitbit.

How will we know when the update is available to all rather than a select few? No one has posted complaining it doesn't work do presume all ok?

I just want to point out that this is a problem in Canada as well. Officially we are all metric so that's what our weather forecasts are in, but many people I know still use imperial for height and weight. It doesn't make sense to not just let people customize each unit.

Has anyone else (apart from the 10%) had the update yet???

I was wondering the same thing, its been two weeks since we were told that the fix had been released (followed by the update that it was only available to 10% of users) and now FitBit have once again gone silent.

Nope it’s quite pathetic now from a global tech giant.

Hey Fitbit, has someone forgot to press the release to all button, or are you just sitting there with a cup of tea and biscuit laughing at us all getting increasingly frustrated?

Kind regards

What's the betting the 10% are US users who don't care.
Come on Fitbit....get it sorted!
