Enable Celsius units on weather app without having to change distance to kilometers Ionic/Versa

Currently the ionic will only  display Celsius units when the distance unit is in 'kilometres'. It would be great if the ionic weather app displayed Celsius units regardless of the distance unit selected .... E.g, miles .

Agreed definitely needs to be split out! In the UK I'd want Miles for distance but degrees C for temperature!

Come on Fitbit, listen to your customers!

Please allow a function for having distance in miles and temperature in Celsius. The majority of the UK population use this combination of units.

Completely aggressive even thought we use mile stone, and millilitres we have temperature in Celsius and I'm also In the uk

The silly thing is they obviously listen to the UK users enough to give us weight in stones. But not to give us Celsius...

I have noticed that some of the clock faces offered some of the developers, have current weather info on them, and one called Minimal by Semyon, shows temperature in centigrade. So I they can do it in a tiny bit of clock face software, there is no reason why you lazy lot of developers at fitbit can't do it. If not, my next smartwatch will be using Wear OS software.

This really needs sorting out Fitbit... Another impassioned UK user.

I'm going to guess this is a hot topic for us UK based Fitbit people

Can we please have an setting to be able to change the units of the weather app from Fahrenheit to Celsius with out changing the distance?

I like to see how far I have traveled in miles, but the weather app confuses me being in Fahrenheit.

I understand there are still some developments being done, but this is a pretty basic feature.

Deat Fitbit,

Is the Fitbit software open source?

Maybe we can fix it for you and for FREE!

I have to say this is truly amazing.

When I was pointed towards raising my point about the poor temperature design on the ionic on the community page I assumed this would be fitbit taking the first step towards resolving.

Instead 100s of messages on in the chain they haven’t been in contact to suggest they are working on anything to resolve or even acknowledge the issue. It’s just been increasingly disgruntled people like me voicing their disappointment.

And now after all this time someone is actually offering to fix the software on their behalf...? Fitbit developers hang your heads in shame!

And that's hundreds not including the ones removed because we had the temerity to suggest that telling customers to request a "feature" to _fix a bug_ is infuriating!

Yes that's what all the UK want you should be able to toggle between Fahrenheit  and Celsius  and should not be controlled by Length

I wrote a probably pointless tweet to fitbit’s CEO, maybe if we all did the same it could get some attention (doubtful). This forum is clearly just a way to placate users and to make them think their issues are under consideration.

This shouldn't even be questioned it should just be like that!!

Living in the UK, having just bought a Versa for myself and my wife we find it frustrating that we cannot change the temperature settings on the weather app to show the temperature in Celsius yet keep our distance measurements in mile. Surely this can easily be sorted out?!?!

+1 to all the comments here, I mean surely in the product design phase this was a simple obvious requirement.

The update on this should be pretty simple even if in the App on the watch there was a simple toggle switch for the temperature.  (A simple piece of coding to convert values on the watch).

Please Fitbit make Fahrenheit and Celsius separate as here in the UK we use Miles and Celsius.

The other day I decided to go on the public social media and tweeted Fitbit to ask they, got the standard reply, to come and post in here

when I replied saying i had twice and also voted on numerous posts regarding this, also took a photo of the votes on this thread, they sent this reply

"Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We and our engineering team will work on its resolution so we can work on it as soon as possible. Please let us know if there's anything else we may do  to assist you in the meantime"

Hopefully we may get a settings update soon!

They said the same thing about my heart rate shooting sky high when I'm not even wearing it, I'm still waiting.

It's another generic stock answer!
