Fitbit Journal - Notes on the Fitbit app

How about a space in the app for a daily note. I would like to be able to leave a note on the daily results page. So that if results are high or low I would know why when looking back. IE: was I sick so my daily results were very low or were they extra good and for what reason? In sure folks would have lots of reasons to look back at results and would want to know what was what at that time. Ted

I'd like to see a notes tile on the app for the things you want to keep track of daily. You could have a + symbol that when clicked would create a new note for a custom label. Each note would be saved for the day and upon waking up to a new day, you would have all your labeled sections available again. E.G. If I wanted to keep track of my strength training routine, medications, and mood every day:

1. I'd go to the notes tile.

2. I'd click the little plus icon and type in: Strength Training. Then repeat again with Medications and Mood.

3. I'd record whatever info I wanted for the day and sleep.

4. The next day all my categories would be there refreshed and I could record whatever info for the day. Maybe reference previous days and see what strength training exercises I did or where I went to run that was a good glute workout. I could see which medications effected my sleep or if how many steps I got in a day correlated to my mood. It would be great ^_^

Would like to be able to make Notes on my sleep like I could make a note on one night that I took a melatonin or that my kid actually slept through the night and maybe that's why my sleep pattern was better. Breastfeeding through the night or I was up with a sick kid or out of town are more examples.

Noticed this has been raised previously and think this should be a feature..e.g if synching doesn't happen so walk is not recorded, or couldn't exercise for whatever reason  would like to at least make a note to self.Have an Alta. Thanks☺

Please create a place for notes on the app. I would like to keep track of events that impact my fitness routine.

A note page with boxes to check would be great, like events impacting fitness routine" and then boxes to check such as: *sick, *travel, *allergies etc.

Thank you

+1 for sleep notes!

I would really like there to be a notes section on the Fitbit Blaze...to record what happened that day, so when you look back you can see why it was a good or bad day.

I totally agree ! I would love to add notes to steps .. and sleep ..

those two especially.

To notate a day with minimal steps - like if Fitbit was charging for a while that day.

Or for sleep - like "child was sick so was up with her".  Things like that that can be referenced if you're looking back and wonder "what happened that day/night"

also by heartrate - I would like to be able to add notation if a significant heart rate change occurred as my doctor references my HR tracker on visits

Ate you asking to be able to add notes directly on the screen of the Blaxe?

This has already been suggested as part of a feature to the account.

It's 2017!  We've been asking for a notes feature since 2014!  How hard is it to make a blank note app?  Your customers want this Fitbit, please do it!  Smiley Mad

Oops, I double checked and we've actually asking for notes since 2013.

How hard can a notes function be to create compared to some of the other functions they have added. Beyond me why they have not done this.

It would be nice to be able to put in our own workout in the Categorize Exercise. For example I do PiYo and P90X3 so it would be nice to be able to put in PiYo Upper Body.

Also a note section would be nice for each day just to put thoughts down about my workouts. Thanks! I love my Charge 2!!

Please vote for this original suggestion starting in 2013!  It has over 500+ votes and the request has been ignored for 4 years.  Smiley Surprised

The link to the original request is in my post, but it says solved, but it hasn't been.  Not sure how to remedy this.  Thanks for adding your vote to this feature!

Trade Ins

It would be nice if there was a trade in program for fitbits.  Coming out with new products is awesome, but it becomes tough to justify the upgrade when there is nothing to do with the older product.  I know people can sell them or give them to family members, but if no one wants to buy a used Fitbit or your family members want the latest model, then you are just out of luck.

You really want to type a note into your Charge HR? How would you add a keyboard to the tracker?

May i ask then why are we then starting the count all over along with the 45+ other individual suggestions.

Actually  2015 was when the orriginal post was last edited. It goes back to 2013, when we did have a note section.

I would love to be able to rate my sleep. So if I wake up really tired I can mark that. Or if I wakeup feeling really refreshed I can mark that. Also if I have energy during the day. That way I can tell when my food/ excersize/ sleep is on part with what my body needs

I agree. I would love to be able to capture some thoughts in a journal about how I'm feeling, things that might have derailed me, lessons learned, etc. I am really surprised this feature no longer exists. To me it is a "no brainer" for a complete weight loss/health tracking tool.

Strongly supporting this idea aswell. As already been pointed out, needs to be on the iphone/mobile app for quick access, online page seems a bit underdeveloped actually (sorry), its not up to speed with the mobile version.

Life Note: e.g. 4 April Starting Zumba classes, Starting LCHF diet, quit smoking etc.

6 August: Results (in pie charts etc) Weight loss: - 4kg, Resting pulse: -5bpm, etc, good work!! keep going!

I.e. being able to quantify your active life choices, serving as inpiration to actively take decissions about your health.

Of course, also emojis, signalling your general feeling for the day, then summary: this month 69% Happy, etc.

There are lots of fitness apps with a large number of activities to choose from. I have found FitBits selection of activities rather disappointing.

It would be good to see a "notes" option included in the sleep tracking and heart rate sections of the app - often I can identify day to day why my hr or sleep is a bit off but this is harder to track over the long term. It would be nice to be able to add notes to remind myself & make the long term data more useful?

I've just contacted customer services and asked about having this feature. They referred me here and low and behold, I find this thread plus many others!

I want to be able to put a note against my workouts/exercise so it will help track improvement. As I run on a treadmill I want to be able to note distance too rather than relying on converting the steps.

A notes application - doesn't have to be fancy - just allows the ability to store notes or information - ie anything from Grocery items, door codes or anything.
