Friends Daily/Weekly Step Count on App and graph

I think a welcomed addition to the friends profile across all apps would be the ability to see a friend's daily step count.  This would be useful when "chasing" a friend down.  Smiley Happy

Other user data such as, distance, active minutes, pictures and other information that person has set to share with friends would be nice as well.

Idealy the user would be able to slide through previous days like you can on your personal dashboard view

Coming to Fitbit from Jawbone who have this functionality I am really disappointed Fitbit don't have this. Apple Watch even has this now. It's really motivating to see friends steps. Come on Fitbit get it sorted! Otherwise your going to lose a customer.

I would love to be able to see friends' daily step count rather than their total or average. Ongoing access to friend's daily steps (if not held private) would allow us to simply more accurately modivate/taunt each other without having to remember their previous totals/averages.

Yes please. It would be really good to see friends daily step counts so we could have competitions instead of trying to work it out from weekly totals.

As of right now you can only see friends daily stats on the computer... why not make it so you can see them on the mobile app?? My boyfriend and I are using fitbits to encourage each other to stay in shape and I think it would make a lot more sense to be able to see each other's progress on the app and not just on the computer. I use my phone a lot more than my laptop!

Since 2013 this suggestion has been asked of. Its now 2017 so wont hold my breath for the change but pleaseee consider it. 7 day roll over is practically pointless

I agree.  I have to screen shot the total at the beginning of the day, then spend all day subtracting the new total from my friends just to see who is winning.  Daily totals please!!

From the app users should be able to see more information on friends. Currently when you go to your friend list it provides little to no information. When you click on friends you should see a feed of all your friends with information including real time stats for the day and previous nights sleep. You could scroll down to get previous days info as well. Users should have the ability to keep this information to a minimum if they choose to in their privacy settings. I have an elderly parent that needs to exercise as much as possible. It would be nice to check on him using the Fitbit app to see his daily stats. I used to be able to do this on the Jawbone UP but was surprised when we switched to Fitbit that this was not available.

On the friends screen no option to display daily steps. Displays weekly steps only with daily average which does not allow easily for friendly competition. Step gaps between friends usually too big to overcome short term i.e. That day discouraging friendly competition. Shocking absolutely shocking oversight given all the $$ and time spent on FitBit beta testing groups. Daily step challenge workaround highly inconvenient and impractical. Please correct ASAP for this obvious need. Thanks!

Also let users toggle (top left may be good spot for toggle switch) between daily weekly monthly annual and lifetime steps and again easily slide to prior day week month year. Users could have option to hide any of this data if ya think that may be a concern which I personally doubt.

The numbers far underestimate the intensity of the users desire here is my guess. Lacking this feature makes the app virtually unworkable as a means of friendly competition  at the micro level (daily) which is mind boggling (understatement). Please share with us "your teams" response to this so so obvious need? Thanks!!

I don’t think they care, as many have complained about this with NO response from FitBit

Come on Fitbit, the social feature is one of the reasons people buy your products.

4 years since this post and you still can't see your friends steeps and activity in the app........HOW HARD CAN IT BE....I can see my friends activities on Garmin and Endomondo been there for years.

Bought 21 flex2 bands for our extended family for Christmas so we could compete daily for steps.  Very disappointed that the app doesn’t support it.  Seems like a must have for friendly competition.

Fitbit does not care. Truly mind boggling ineptness. I recommend you return them.

Please add feature so we can view friends DAILY step count.  Kind of defeats the purpose of competing if we can't compare each other's steps every day.  It makes me want to see if there is another device out there that would allow us to do this.  An average daily step total on them does nothing for competing with each other.  Thank you!

It is very disappointing that Fitbit does not have this and has not added the feature even though requests date back four years!

Agreed with all of you - I even posted my disappointment - Say, FITBIT has a facebook so perhaps we should start express our disappointment about this and better yet - let's go on a boycott by not wearing the fitbit till they do something. It is shame they ignore our desires and not serve their customers.  We paid a lot of money for this.........

I am new to Fitbit, but for the life of me I don't understand why they are missing out on sharing the daily steps.  There have been request for 5 years for this feature.  I am retired and this is a wonderful feature to have so that my kids can see that I am actually moving.  What a great boost this would be for marketing if you could have everyone give their parents or grandparents a fitbit to make sure they are moving daily.  If we don't move at least it will hopefully initiate a call.  If you can give 7 day average there is no reason why you can;t give daily.  Not all users are young healthy adults.

I can see 30 days of a friend's step count under his profile in my PC. However, perhaps since he doesn't have a smart phone/ mobile account, I can't seem to pull up his profile on my (Android) phone.  Any work being done on this?  Also, I'd like to be able to see my friend's exercise intensity levels. Thanks; love your product!

This is a great feature I miss from the Striiv Apex HR and it's app, which had a daily step counter for friends, basically a line with pictures showing each person's position relative to the target, eg 12,000 steps.

Just got my first Fitbit and disappointed I can’t see friends daily steps. It should be possible for all users to individually select how much/what info to share , ie steps/activity levels etc.
