Friends Daily/Weekly Step Count on App and graph

I think a welcomed addition to the friends profile across all apps would be the ability to see a friend's daily step count.  This would be useful when "chasing" a friend down.  Smiley Happy

Other user data such as, distance, active minutes, pictures and other information that person has set to share with friends would be nice as well.

Idealy the user would be able to slide through previous days like you can on your personal dashboard view

It is unbelievable that the fitbit flex does not allow me to see my friend's data in the same format as my own. I want to see her daily step count, NOT her 30 day step count. What use is that? It offers no comparison to my own progress which I can see daily on my dashboard.

Please  address this discrepancy soon! Thank you in anticipation

Daily Steps is a great idea!
Helps People be more competitive and get more motivated.

What about other dialy stats as well? (Providing the friend wants to share the information?
And what about being able to view friends daily stats from a mobile device? So that you can check on the go and know who is in front of you and by how much, or how much you are in front by? I think this would give people some extra motivation, for those who it takes more to get motivated.

After switching from the Jawbone Up (I think I had the 1st Generation) it is disappointing that the FitBit HR doesn't allow you to view your friends daily progress. My husband and I both have FitBits and we like to compare each others sleep, calories burned, and steps. With Jawbone I could just click on his profile and view all of his information and I have noticed I cannot do that with the FitBit which is frustrating. It would be great for when you're in a challenge with someone to be able to see where you compare to your challengers. Maybe being about to see your opponets progress would be an incentive to push a little harder.

I would love to see my friends daily step count instead of the 7 day rolling total. Jawbone already does this and I wish Fitbit would too on all apps.

I really wish that we could see friends daily step counts rather than only their 7 day, it would be alt more motivating! That's really the only thing that I miss about about my old tracker.

I have a fitbit flex and I enjoy that I can see the weekly progress of my friends, but it would be even more motivating to be able to see the DAILY and weekly steps of my friends. Will this be an option anytime soon??

We battle up to the minute! Definitely need to see the very latest daily total number of steps. Even if it's just the current day. Historical data is fine in the 30 day graph on the website.

Can we please have the feature to see friend's daily steps instead of weekly? It just makes more sense to show daily steps

I 100% agree! I was disappointed when I set up my FitBit that I was unable to see my friend's daily steps. This would be an amazing feature to keep us challanged!

I couldn't agree more! Every person I've talked to with fitbit complains about this. Many other fitness trackers/apps already do this, why won't fitbit? Is it just a refusal to provide a feature customers want even when they've been requesting this for years. Without this feature, the app and therefore the fitness tracker loses a lot of luster to me, thinking about selling it on eBay now.

I would prefer to see friends daily step counts rather than the 7 day total. Daily would be more realistic. Other devices such as Jawbone already does this.

I agree. It would make more sense to see a daily count rather than weekly and would be much more competitive.

I would like to see my friends' daily step count (or current!! step count) in addition to the rolling weekly count. This has been requested for a couple of years according to the dates I see here. Is it being considered?

This issue has been raised many times on this forum, and I've written directly to Fitbit several times about it, however, no action has been taken to provide this information to Fitbit users.

I agree wholeheartedly. Please update the app to where we can see friends daily steps. Contemplating going back to jawbone because of some of these things it has that Fitbit doesn't. Please fix this!!!

Yes, PLEASE update the app so we can see our friends daily steps. I just got my fitbit charge hr, after wearing a jawbone for over a year, where you CAN see your friends daily steps. It really motivated me on a daily basis to keep going and beat my friends steps!!! 🙂 PLEASE give us this feature!!!

Looks like this discussion has been going on for over 2 years now. Has there ever been a solution to get daily step count of friends?!? If not, why hasn't Fitbit added this feature. I understand there may be a way from a computer... What about from mobile app?

It would be great to see my friends daily progress without having to be in a challenge them. It I was to cheer or taunt to get them motivated. It would be good to see that they have gotten their steps or see if they need their exercis minutes. Being able to see their page just as I can view mine. Knowing where they are with their goals if o want to check them out. Also, this has nothing to do with the topic here but a full water proof Fitbit would be great. I'm a swimmer and being able to wear it as I swim to track the exercise there would be wonderful. Or even as I'm surfing. Knowing how long I'm out and what time it may be would be useful.
