Garmin Connect Integration / Sync

My wife has a charge hr 2 and is enjoying being part of the Fitbit community with the daily step challenges.

I have a garmin fenix due to its multi sport functionality for triathlon etc. However I'd love to get involved with the challenges.

Please fitbit allow us garmin users to sync our daily activity with you...from what I can see garmin allows you to sync the other way round.

Please please get garmin and fitbit to sync. I managed to use fitdatasync once then it was down, now it won't let me reset my password and the contact us doesn't work, so I've given up on that site...but need an alternative. There must be 1000s of people who run and walk and need both devices.

It's been 2 years since the first post. Better just give up the idea that fitbit will ever add support for garmin connect.

I have gone thru 3 junky fitbit ones before finding one that worked properly. then the battery was having issues. it ended up in a box and i used samsung tec on my phones. i found my fitbit and it wont hold a charge. i get it. its old now. but you guys dont offer an affordable swimming wearable, and i have to charge them a lot. with the all in one built bands on the charge / charge hr thats a no go for me. I love your app, and the scale. I was debating switching to garmin >> fitbit needs to make it sync up, even if theres a cost! I would not mind a basic fee for just the syncing option even!

I'm also waiting for the possibility to sync my steps from Garmin Connect to Fitbit. All of my family is using Fitbit trackers and I needed to switch to another tracker device to get precise training functionality, But I'd like to have my steps in Fitbit too.

+1 more vote on this almost year old request and pleas. I just got a Garmin because it has a better biking and run training feature than my Fitbit Surge. I still wear my Fitbit Charge HR for everyday because the step counts are closer to accurate than the Garmin's, which I've found to be very inconsistent. Having to update and consolidate both apps to see your daily activity is tedious. I know there's manual upload, but come on! I LOVE the Fitbit dashboard, so having the ability to sync my two branded devices would be great!!

It would be great to include import and export of data to and from Garmin Connect in a seemles process

Perhaps I'm hoping too much

Thanks for posting your idea about integrating with Garmin Connect. We will be sure to keep you posted if there are any updates about this feature request.

Additionally, one of the original asks of this feature request was for an integration with Fitbit and Strava which currently exists! Click here for more information on how to connect your Strava and Fitbit accounts.

I'm already connected with Strava, thank you! I'm looking forward to
connecting my fitbit with my Garmin Connect because I have some advanced
running analysis information in garmin that doesn't show up anywhere else.

Thank you!

Dear Sirs,

I would like to ask for your help.

I am using with Fitbit Charge HR for i while and I love it.

Fitbit app recommended Waterlogged, so I bought it and started to use. A few weeks spent, but the sync between Waterlogged and Fitbit app does not work. The data comes through to iOS Health, but not to Fitbit app. I submitted ticket to Fitbit and Waterlogged as well, but no active help.

Could you please check it?

Thank you

Best regards,

Szilárd

Please consider linking Garmin Connect and Fitbit. I have more friends on the Fitbit site, but enjoy the metrics, etc on Connect as well.  I really need the steps to sync over since I have other apps that connect into Fitbit. By connecting to Connect it will make Fitbit my ultimate hub insted of Connect. I have a another fitness site associated through work/insurance where I need to log steps via Fitbit, so having steps especially move over would save a lot of extra time.

Having the two linked will definately help and the more I stay engaged with the Fitbit site/community the more likely I am to purchase Fitbit gear going forward.

Thanks for your consideration and for the great site.

I prefer to use my Garmin 500 on my bike, but it is annoying that I can't just upload to the Fitbit dashboard. The data from garminconnect.com that gets transferred to fitbit.com through fitdatasync.com lacks the calorie data. Also, my Fitbit Surge is somehow reporting steps, heartrate and a bike ride, even though it was in my backpack. Maybe I just need a way to turn the Surge off while I ride. Is there a way to power it off? Seriously though, if Fitbit can't play nice with Garmin data without a scetchy third party that I have to share passwords with, I might be getting to the end of my relationship with Fitbit. Anybody want to buy a Surge?

Yes! There needs to be integration between these two power houses of digital fitness tracking. I had to go to Garmin to get a waterproof device that fits my needs as a swimmer, watersport enthusiast, & hiker. I don't have time to spend manually entering all of my info into my Fitbit account. I have been kicking around the idea of purchasing a Fitbit device for wearing to work and in the winter when I'm not getting wet and outdoors as much. The lack of being able to integrate my information in one spot so I can track trends and spot deficit areas over time and seasons is a drawback for me.

Please add garmin connect to the accepted apps so I can get the full benefit from both devices I use for different activities. Fit its app I think anyway is far easier to read and use!

Hello, for those of you who have an iPhone, I have found a solution.

Make sure you allow Apple Health connected with Garmin Connect & vice-versa.

Then, in the fitbit app, add a device, at the bottom of the app, you can
setup your iphone as a MobileTrack.

Once you do this, you will see that all steps that your garmin device is
tracking will push to fitbit and you will be back to the Fitbit dashboard
with your activities + all steps that are logged as non-activities.

I wish I found this earlier!

The solution might be available to Android but I did not test it myself.

@fourtire will your solution use data? Will it log twice as many steps when you have your phone on you because doesn't your phone track steps itself in this mode also? I have no idea and that is why I am asking.

Hi, it does not count in double. Actually, from looking at it, Apple shows
a bit less steps than Garmin, and Fitbit less.

I am trying to play with some of the settings in Apple health to see if I
can get this to all match.

At least I get some steps in Fitbit but it's not quite a perfect solution.

Please let me know if you get the perfect recipe...

Regards,

Christian

Another vote for the ability to sync Garmin Connect to Fitbit - I have both devices and use them for seperate things but it would be great to have all my data in one place

I would really like to be able to sync my fitbit steps to garmin connect. I like the fitbit and garmin apps for different reasons and want my data on both. Though given that its been over 2 years since this was first requested I'm doubtful it will ever happen.

I would love to see a sync between Garmin steps and Fitbit steps on the fitbit platform.  I currently use a Fitbit One as my everyday / weekday tracker and a Garmin Epix for my activities and weekends.  I am glad that fitbit allows the syncing of activities, but it would be nice if they allowed syncing of the steps. I end up wearing both on the weekends but, I loose out on fitbit steps when I go to the lake for the day.  I hike around all day and jump in the lake to cool off once in a while and my Fitbit One doesn't like water so I leave it at home.

Hi

Let me start with my little story:

I love my fitbit blaze and aria and the app itself. I started with the surge when it came out and now I'm addicted. but there were some issues with biking and when I swiched to the blaze I found it anoying to take my phone with me so I bought a garmin edge to cycle. Next issue was my fitbit activity had heartbeat and no route and my garmin/strava activity was without heartrate. So I edited it several times with online tools and I got tired doing so.

long story short, now I have the garmin forerunner 735XT and I am very happy with my sports activity, but still, there is much missing stuff in daily non sportive data.

Long story short, I found out there is an app for Iphone to connect fitbit data with apple health and apple health will also read out daily garmin data!! So I switched to apple health for now simply because they hold all my data.

So please, fitbit dudes, take my advice and open up yourself to more integration in your opponents apps. There will be a standard for health data stuff somewhen soon and If you are not compatible you will die! look at all the pebbles and other competitors! If you miss the time to adapt you will get assimilated somewhen!

We want intergration!

You made a very good job with your products, the app and so on. Don't kill yourself by thinking you are the leader of the field.

Greetings, Andi
