If you scroll back a page you will see that an app developer, Tnoff, has developed this for us and I've downloaded and tested and it works really well.
I was worried that nobody would see his work on page 4 of 5 years of comments and this has proved my concerns true .. but scroll back and you should be able to download too 🙂
Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for sharing this suggestion about adding Hulahooping as an exercise shortcut with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here as this will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Please click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
I was wondering if you could add an app for those of us in wheelchairs? I do exercises from a sitting position (would be another good app for the diabled) but I would love to track my wheelchair movement with my arms. I am a disabled Vet and I do laps on an inside track on Base. Thank You!
@Signittome I would be willing to do this for you, it would take some time and I'm assuming you would want distance traveled along with calories and other stats? It will be paid if thats ok? I was thinking $1.00
I am excited to use this hula hoop app for Fitbit. I'd been searching for a Fitbit hula hoop counter app for a couple of years. I hoop a lot and often lol. I am curious "why" the listed permissions are required for the app to function. I admit, I know very lil about apps and tech stuff. Thanks for creating the app!
I am glad that you can use my app. The permissions that the app requires are all for specific uses. The activity permission allows the app to record your exercise.
The group storage permission is required by the payment service to check your other purchases in attempt to give you discounts.
The create exercise permission also allows the app to log exercises.
The heart rate permission allows the app to read and display your heart rate.
And finally, the internet permission is required to connect the app to the payment service.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask me here or email me at thaddeusemails@gmail.com
Hello! Please open the app on your watch. It will come up with a code after a few seconds. Go to kzl.io to enter that code and complete the purchase. Contact me with any more questions!
Adding the hooping exercise to tracking/logging capabilities. It would also be nice to have a weighted/smart hooping as well as a standard non-weighted option.
Hi@Jesse001523, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the possibility of adding Hula Hoop as an activity to Fitbit devices. I noticed that a similar feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your posthere, this helps to keeps the boards more organized. Make sure to add your vote as well to support this suggestion, this helps the team of developers to keep track of popularity and demand over time.
Thank you again for your participation in the Community.
It definitely would be great to have hula hopping, weighted hoop and infinity hoop added as a workout option. There is a lot more workouts that can be added besides that.
