I don’t think this has anything to do with Google or the usual scapegoat of corporations feuding. On the contrary Google was one of the first companies to embrace widgets on iOS 14 with several of it’s apps. Fitbit, on the other hand, has a history of not always playing nice with competitors and not rushing to meet the demands of their customers. They seem a lot more interested in developing new features to tuck behind their paywall. I’d think if anything Google’s acquisition might help this situation. I’m not holding my breath though.
@vicky2397, thanks for sharing this suggestion about including an iOS Widget with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to keep the forums organized and make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
almost three years since this thread started, and still no widget? come on, fitbit. as a premium user, i’m not inclined to renew and keep paying if you can’t manage something so basic.
@abellanteI don't develop apps, but I do know enough about developing for iOS to know that you don't have to get your widget approved. You can just make a widget if you have an app. If you want proof of this, look at AltStore. Apple would NEVER approve AltStore or its widget, but when you have the app installed, the widget works just fine.
Absolutely... I don’t think its about getting approved from Apple. A small company Pedometer++ has their widget for iPhone. Problem is that only sync to Apple health.
Now you can argue to get FitBit data to sync to apple health by downloading a new app and use Pedometer++ to see FitBit data. That doesn’t work. First those app doubles your steps... if your phone steps are ON... they are crappy apps. Secondly you have to pay for them.
Another workaround might be to just switch OFF phone steps and then use that 3rd party app to sync FitBit data to health app. But what if I forgot to wear Fitbit. I generally use MobileTrack inside FitBit ON so if I forget to wear Fitbit then i still see steps when my was phone with me atleast.
In all absolutely ridiculous from FitBit that they are not even answering to WHY !!
Attaching a snip also from Pedometer++ if they are confused what we are asking for.
Hi @Beeza54, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see iOS Widgets to check syncing details. I've moved it into a similar request. I think that a lot of users would like to have this option on their Fitbit devices. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
Since switching from Android to iPhone I noticed there is no activity widget for iOS devices. It would be great if you implemented one similar to what’s found on Android devices.
Hi @Balloons4Baboon, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us about the possibility of having an activity widget for iOS devices, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here, as this helps to keep the forums for organized and readable.

I have just started using a FitBit again for the first time in 4 years. I was surprised to see there is no widget. With IOS 14 changing the way these can be leveraged and the way Apple has their own as a selling feature I feel like this is a competitive disadvantage. That said I am seeing a history of this request and not feeling like there is a lot of hope it comes to be.
Yet another reason to never buy another Fitbit and to recommend others to avoid the company. Why do you insist on leaving gaping holes in the iOS implementations? Every other fitness app is able to provide widgets and integrate with Apple Health, yet you make the experience worse for your paying customers - thanks. Apple Watch for me next time for sure.
Switched to Apple Watch. 🤷:female_sign: I love the Fitbit but I like the streamline look of widgets on my device. All the info is right where I need it except for my Fitbit. It’s clear from this thread that people have been asking for a widget for years and there hasn’t even been word of development.
With iOS 14, it would be great if the Fitbit app supported widgets that you could place on your Home Screen. These widgets could show your progress towards daily goals, sleep statistics, a heart rate graph, or more in depth statistics, depending on what you choose.

It is hard to believe that it has been three years since this was first suggested and there is still no widget. I cannot imagine this would be that hard to accomplish. This makes me want to just buy an Apple Watch and be done with it.
