I would also love to have the option of an Idle Alert. To have the ability to activate this feature would be great for all mobile devices. I LOVE MY FITBIT!!
Please implement an inactivity alert for the Charge HR. I just need a vibration to remind me to move after being inactive for an hour or so. Of course, the period of inactivity should be configurable. Thanks!
YES PLEASE! I had this with my old Jawbone Up...and it was my favorite feature. Sadly, their hardware was not as durable as fitbit...my Flex was AWESOMELY durable and I'm psyched to have a new Surge!
I just bought the Charge HR yesterday - my first fitness tracker. It really needs an idle alert! I mistakenly thought that it already had one and was looking forward to setting it up to remind me to move around more! It's so easy to sit at work too long, working on a project on the computer, and not even realize that you haven't gotten up and moved around for an hour or more. This shouldn't be too difficult to implement and would greatly increase the usefulness of the device. Please add this feature to the Charge HR!
agreed, fitbit is great motivation, but when you are sat at a desk all day its easy to look up and find hours have vanished, it already have the silent alarm built into it.
My daughter, owner of a Jawbone, just asked if my new ChargeHR had and idle alert. I said I believe so. Afterall, I just paid twice as much as she did her Jawbone. Come to find out mine does not have it and fitbit has been saying for almost 2 years they are working on it. Quick tweak in the software and the problem is solved. Come on fitbit!
Yes please add this feature to either the app or avibration pattern that can be set from the app to the device. It seems a very basic feature even if just added to the app when a set period of inactivity has elapsed.

This is a deal breaker feature. It needs to be included. The best part is that it would be a simple firmware update for the Surge since it already can vibrate. It's really disappointing that this is your number 2 feature request, over a year old, and it still isn't incorperated into your newest models. Sounds like theres NO HOPE for this feature.
