Increase Font Size for Charge 3

I have just received my Charge 3, my first Fitbit. I had held off on the Charge 2 to wait for the 3’s larger display. At 47 I need glasses to read small text and would like to be able to increase the font size on notifications and other features.

I agree. The font size is just too small to read. At age 49, my eyes have lost their close vision! I upgraded from the Charge 2 and feeling I liked the Charge 2 much better.I would also like to see one stat per screen instead of two per screen

Kaisercat, why do you say larger font is coming soon?  I was told nothing was in the works as of 3 weeks ago....I hope you have heard differently from Fitbit?

I'm so disappointed with my Charge 3 -- I can't read the messages or almost anything else.  PLEASE give us the option to adjust.

Had enough.  Returned it as it's been almost 3 months and not a word from anyone at FitBit regarding a fix

What is the point in making suggestions when we never get an update on progression.

How do you suggest we troubleshoot something that has no solution!!! all we are asking for is the ability to be able to actually see what is on our fitbit screen and some communication from fitbit as to what they are doing about this.  clearly you have no idea what it is like living with sight problems and having to adapt in every aspect of your life! charge 2 was a usable piece of technology and as evidenced by a tone of comments on here, 3 just does not stand up in comparison.  i want to say pull your head in but i wont because this is a place were we are supposed to stand together to make changes for the better of everyone so please, lets just keep working for this common goal.  even though i have returned my charge 3 and have not gone back to the 2, i am still part of this conversation in the hope that i can help make a change for others.

Come on Fitbit. Why so silent on changing the font size. Why don’t you listen and act on what so many people are saying. Very poor customer relations. How can anyone recommend a Fitbit when so many can’t see the font. Please speak to us. It’s not a lot to ask.

Sorry for my reply. I should have read the title. I thought you were another SYNCING PROBLEM. I too want them to make the font larger on their next update. I’d like to see a CLOCKFACE that consists of only 1 stat of your choosing.

It should be obvious that Fitbit has no intention of responding to this in any way. Some powerless marketing flack has chimed in periodically to say "thanks for the suggestion" but that is as far as it is going to go. I think most of us would have been happy for a developer or product manager to have said "we are working on it" and we would have waited patiently for months. The lack of an actual response shows their intent. In this case none. So I have returned mine already. Just as many others have in this forum. Just as many others who did not say anything. Garmin and Sony and Apple make decent products for the purpose. I bought a Garmin. I can read the screen while I run.

And I am wondering when this thread is going to vanish. It has turned decidedly sour on Fitbits' handling on the issue. Much easier to delete the thread than to fix the problem

What do you guys think, woukd it be a good idea for each one of us ( or
most of us) open a new thread on the community forum with the subject
complaining about readability of font/stats?

All that noise about the missing date got them to fix the date a few weeks
ago? Until now I was polite and bother opening separate new threads, but it
may be time to get this issue some visibility?

Sounds good to me. I would do either option. I'm tired of peering at my steps.

Sounds good to me.

I had hoped that Fitbit would have responded to the seemingly large demand to increase the font size. There are so many good competitors such as Samsung where this is not an issue, so have now returned my charge 3 and will start the hunt for a new fitness tracker that better suits my requirements!

Friends, countrymen, fitness enthusiasts:

I encourage you all to post new threads making it clear that we are asking
for "new faces with more readable health stats (steps and hr)" and respond
in other people's similar thread. From the few responses we have gotten
from the FitBit team it is looking increasingly likely that they are
treating it as 'just another feature request' and not a serious flaw with
the product.

Please post new threads explaining how you are having problems reading the
stats on the move/in the sun and also reply in other people's threads.

People made noise to get a couple of new faces with dates on them. We can
do the same to get readable stats faces.

The message with the biggest impact would be for everyone to return the Charge 3 and then give it the bad accurate reviews it deserves on every website possible. Tell your friends, relatives. I have.  When we are hiking and someone asks me how many steps we have taken, I say I don’t know. I can’t see it. Does Fitbit not have anyone on staff who needs reading glasses? Does Fitbit not use its own product?

Fitbit is it publicly traded company if you want to get their attention,
complain to their investors.

Increase the font and get rid of he gray scale so we can see what we are supposed to see ASAP! Fitbit where are you?

We do fitbit challenges at work and I have already deterred two fellow employees from buying the charge. I did not look up the charge 3 font size prior to buying. I assumed it was the same as the Charge 2 and tossed the packaging. Otherwise, I would have returned mine for the Charge 2. I had the 2 before it stopped charging and it was better than this minuscule print. I bought online at JCPenny. I will go review it poorly now!

I can’t imagine that Fitbit will continue to ignore our pleas for larger font. It is such a basic request. If they don’t change the font, I’ll look for another brand after the holidays. Meanwhile I will continue to give them bad reviews.

I returned mine weeks ago and only keep following this having expected they would fix the problem by now. Returned to wearing my old Alta and when  this stops working will never buy another product from Fitbit again. The lack of response to this is profoundly ridiculous.

I totally agree with the font being too small. Fitbit needs to realized that there are ALOT of us older folks (45+) who are staying active and using their products. I would be fine with having one stat per page and having it bigger and legible. So far I am loving my Charge 3 except for this inconvenience. I am planning to keep it a little longer and hope that Fitbit will come to their senses and offer a fix for this issue. I am resigned to just looking over my data at the end of the day on my iPad until the fix comes. I have 90 days to return (Costco) so I will make my decision as that deadline nears. Please fix this issue as I really want to keep my Charge 3.
