Inspire HR keep display on for longer

Could a feature be added to the Inspire and Inspire that keeps the display on for longer?  I get 3-4 seconds before mine goes dark. If I tap the display after it comes on the display time goes to about 6 sec. Continuing to tap will keep the display on. (I've only tested using the stats display). It would be great if there was a user control to have the current settings marked as "short," something about twice as long as "medium," and a "long" that went to (say) 1 minute. Alternatively the user could select from several timings from the current behavior to a maximum of at least 1 minute. Obviously battery life would suffer with a longer display, but I'd take that trade off.

@YojanaFitbit thanks for the update but I think you are mistaken. The feature requested here is not released. This is a request for the ability to do this on Inspire HR. I doubt very much that releasing the requested feature on a different device satisfies this request here.

It's good for anyone who buys the new device, people with Inspire HRs are still wanting this on their devices though.

Lol typical Fitbit behavior... Take user suggestions for improvements, make a new device with it on, and give nothing back to the people who found the bugs/suggestions in the first place other than telling them a new model supports these features. I've watched this behavior since my Charge HR, Nothing changing lol

Unless some Fitbit COMPANY employee can confirm all of us with a Inspire HR are getting a free upgrade to it?

Fitbit, you should do the right thing and update the Inspire 1 to support longer, configurable screen on time. It’s terribly annoying that the display does dark so quickly. It’s difficult to see in the sun while running and it takes extra time to read it. This has become even more important to me because you took away the feature to view current HR on the iPhone app when the feature for all-day-sync was removed!

I've been trying to get used to the short display time but am ready to give
up. I bought the Inspire HR mostly to track heart rate due to a medical
condition. It looks like the company will not upgrade this model despite
many requests, and that we must buy a new model to get the upgraded
feature. So I will be buying a new one, but it won't be a Fitbit - - they
have lost a customer.

Add me to the list.  Per various articles I saw for good activity trackers for seniors, I ordered up the Inspire HR for my mother and boy what a frustrating experience.  Definitely did not belong on that list for this exact reason.

Curious for clarification from @YojanaFitbit  to see if this feature will be backported to the Inspire HR.  If not going to be fixed ASAP, the Inspire is going back and we can pursue options from a vendor that might care a bit more about accessibility.

I am extremely disappointed in the (lack of) response on this seemingly obtuse decision to not allow configurability (to perhaps cover up the fact that the battery life on the Inspire HR is much less performant than advertised?)

@DonSweater of I were you I'd return it. I wish I'd returned mine in the window I could have. I thought they may back port the feature here from other device and I've been waiting about a year and they have not. They want us to pay for inspire 2 or other devices rather than bring features to the devices we currently have.

They even closed this request stating it was not planned only to reopen it claiming it was available (it is in the inspire 2, not on the inspire 1).

As for the battery life I actually have no complaints there. I get 5 days to a week on mine after it being a year old. I didn't expect 7 days as the week is part of the upsell for the charge range so a smaller device is likely to have smaller battery.

Good luck finding the right device for your mother. For what it's worth my wife had a charge 3 and recently moved to a charge 4 - both have the option to change timeout period (and slightly larger screens + battery).

Please confirm if this has also been released for Inspire HR as it seems like it is only for Inspire 2.  Such a simple thing to sort out and I don't know why it hasn't been done.  Spent ages deciding which one to buy and there are so many simple things that should be incorporated.  Seconds on the clocks are also essential.

It is now Apr 2021 and no screen option has been made to the Inspire HR, it's so enoying, I will return it while I still can.

The display is so small, it takes more than 2-3 Sec to focus and read it.

Well I just got mine litteraly 45mins ago in the mail and whilst searching how to keep the backlight on permanently I found this comment section...

Sooooo I'm guessing that's a negative on the backlight situation?!?lol

@YojanaFitbit I'm amazed this request had its status changed to "released" when it was release to a new product, NOT to the device specifically mentioned in the feature request i.e. the Inspire HR. It is VERY hard to believe this would be a difficult feature to implement.

I agree. I will never buy a fitbit product again.
