Integrate with Apple Watch

The options available for wearing your FitBit with business casual clothing is extremely limited. Please partner with Apple & allow us to use the Apple Watch to track our steps for a premium subscription. I love the APP & currently proudly wear my flex daily, but would really like the option available when the Apple Watch is released.

@Smittty I disagree and most Fitbit users will disagree as well.  Fitbit devices measures activity, so I'm perfectly fine with getting some credit for ironing my clothes.  Different trackers has different algorithms in calculating activity, if you are happy with your Apple Watch, then go compete with the few people that has an Apple Watch and an Apple Phone.  Lets say I do beat you in a challenge, you'll just blame it on the Apple Watch or vice or versa for not calculating the steps accurately.  It will take the fun out of the competitions with the sore loser mentality.

The Fitbit Blaze is not mind blowing, but it is a great addition to the Fitbit Family of devices.  I have a charge HR, but I wouldn't mind getting a Fitbit Blaze to wear to more formal occasion.  Essentially, this allows me to have a Fitbit device for all occasions.

I am aware of the Record app, but Fitbit Apps trumps it IMHO.  Record is complicated for the casual user.  But if you're happy with Record, there's really no need for Apple Watch integration into the Fitbit ecosystem.  I'd rather have the software engineers at Fitbit focus on improving the Fitbit software than wasting their time on Apple Watch integration.

In my experience, Apple Watch counts steps really accurately so most days when I'm wearing my watch and my Fitbit One I expect to see very similar step counts. My step count will be higher if I forget to make the switch and wear my Fitbit Charge because that counts arm movements as steps. Fitbit already has integration with loads if different devices, including the iPhone, so I'm not convinced allowing HealthKit to pass Watch steps across would be a major development. It would just allow Fitbit users such as myself that bit more flexibility.

I have used a Fitbit for several years now and absolutely LOVE it!  I truly wouldn't have been able to loose my "baby weight" so quickly if it weren't for the challenges.  I debated for a long time between getting an apple watch or the new surge. After much debate, I went with the apple watch and love it.  However, I really miss the checking my dashboard, friends and challenges. I have considered just purchasing a fitbit zip or one and sticking it in my pocket but that seems ridiculous to wear 2 tracking devices JUST so I can see my board.  I tried logging my info from my watch under the "exercise" part on the fitbit app and it puts it on my dashboard, but won't count it towards the challenges...??? Last time I checked, Fitbit started as a company to help people get and stay healthy.  Are you being a little petty by not allowing this? I would also pay a premium or whatever to have the info link between the 2. I have years worth of health info on there I would like to save if possible. If you allow some third parties to sync and put info towards the dashboard, why not towards the challenges?  All it's going to take is one person at Apple to create a challenge board and Fitbit will become obsolete.  I'm just saying.

I'm wearing the Apple Watsch and this would not change. Fitbit, I use the ONE with great joy. It would be great, if soon, a connection with the Apple watch is possible! Control of the activity, as well as at Runtastic, would be great! ThiPio

Please support the Apple Watch. Sync apps just don't cut it. Fitbit has the best social feature and if it doesn't support Apple Watch and third party watches, it will die like blackberry. Please support the Apple Watch.

I would pay 20 bucks for an Apple Watch app.

I am a longtime Fitbit user, from the beginning, and own MANY Fitbits.  I have purchased many as gifts in order to utilize the social aspects of the Fitbit app.  I would love the ability to have Fitbit count steps taken with the Apple Watch (Christmas Gift) and to integrate with the Apple Healthkit.  I enjoy wearing my Apple Watch and it has replaced my Surge during the day but not for night when I use the Surge for sleep tracking and alarms.  I also use my Flex in the upscale Tory Birch jewelry when I am out at an event or anytime I am wearing dressy clothes where a casual Surge or Apple Watch is not appropriate.  It would just make so much sense for all these items to sync together and count in the challenges and step count with my Fitbit friends.  It makes me sad that I have to choose and I really don't want to have to wear two devices. I love the Fitbit app, it is very well designed and I dont want to have to give that up either.  They are obviosulty not losing money from me who has purchased 5 Fitbit devices persoanlly and given at least 8 away as gifts. I would be willing to pay a slight premium to have this feature, but we really should'nt have to.

@Gonfreaksss. Fitbit is already allowing other devices like motion processors in mobile devices. Regarding the sore loser comment, even Fitbit own devices have that same issues so if it hasn't come up by now I'm not sure it really matters. A lot of people also just use their phone that I know because they don't wear even watches. I think the Fitbit App is also much better than Record & Jawbone I only mentioned it because it's an example of how simple Fitbit could make the request a lot of us have possible. Thanks

I totally understand Fitbit disallowing the use of 3rd party trackers with their app. I know you're competitors. However, I was pretty disappointed when I learned that sync solver wouldn't allow me to use my new Apple Watch for challenges within the Fitbit app. I've considered buying a Fitbit too but I don't want to wear a tracker on each wrist! I would be willing to pay to use the Fitbit app with my Apple Watch. Maybe £30-50 for unlimited use forever or £10 a year or £2 a month I don't know. But it would be great to have the option.
Please consider it Fitbit!

I use my Fitbit and Apple Watch at the same time. It would be great if I can swap between trackers instead of wearing both at the same time.

I don't want to wear both devices, Apple sent me to Fitbit to get this going, sounds like Apple has no objections.

Really would like an Apple Watch app so I can see my Fitbit One steps at a glance.

Hello Nice People at Fitbit, can you please update us on the status of getting an APP?

Also, a Apple watch & charge HR user.   Would love for my Apple Watch to have fitbit app compatability.

Really wish that fitbit and Apple watch could coexist. I feel left out of my friends circle that own fitbits and compete with eachother but cannot participate because of the app's incompatibility with the apple watch.

I completely understand that there is some bad blood between Fitbit and Apple, but can you two please just get along.

I love the fitBit app, but I love my Apple Watch.  I would pay if FitBit made an Apple Watch App that would work with the FitBit App and allow me to use my Apple Watch like my Charge HR.  Please make something like this, you could sell it for a premium price and fitbit users would pay for it.

I would totaly support a premium only feature to use the apple watch. Currently no other smart watch in the iOS market can touch their capability, and no one is likely too. My only other suggestion is make "premium" a free purchase for a one-time 7 day trial so that "those people" can enjoy the watch with fitbit software, and that has the bonus that regular fitbit hardware people can get a taste of premium.

They have that, you get a 7-day free trial, did I read that wrong^^ or do you mean if Fitbit could use Apple Watch data and Fitbit sell them premium...

Sorry I didn't remember the free trial. My wife an I went premium nearly a year ago.

Since marketing likes development stories, let me explain the need...

I need to use applications and features on an iWatch that aren't available on any FitBit product. I don't want to carry or wear more things than necessary. Wearing two watches is akward and all fitbits that measures heartrate are watches. Because of that I am forced to choose between fitbit and iWatch. When the iWatch need exceeds my Fitbit need, I'll start wearing an iWatch and stop wearing my Fitbit. If I'm not wearing my fitbit, I will stop being a premium (or any other) member. In short, Fitbit will lose a very reluctant customer who wants to use their products but been forced out of their arcitecture.

Frankly the only thing that has kept me from switching is iWatch battery life. Once that is changed, I'm changing hardware. If fitbit supports it, I'll remain a premium member. If they don't support it, I won't be remaining a member at all. Does Fitbit want my subscription business?

This needs to become real, I'm kinda mad that this has not been put in yet.
