Integrate with Apple Watch

The options available for wearing your FitBit with business casual clothing is extremely limited. Please partner with Apple & allow us to use the Apple Watch to track our steps for a premium subscription. I love the APP & currently proudly wear my flex daily, but would really like the option available when the Apple Watch is released.

Is there any update on this?  I know tons of people that have iwatches that would LOVE to use the fitbit app.

I've been on this thread for over a year and no real reply or update from FitBit. Shameful!

I am seeing less and less of my friends sticking with FitBit and people are moving over to other apps like the Under Armor Record app or just connecting with friends in the Apple Activity.  So, to the point made by Dthill5415, FitBit is being really stupid about not offering an integration.  People like myself are getting the Apple Watch for many reasons above and beyond the fitness tracking and we are forced to go out and find alternatives instead of just integrating their new watch to the fitbit app. This is introducing more roosters to the hen house and I would suspect is causing people to move away from the fitbit app; as I am seeing with my contacts.  I sold off my Blaze and got a cheap first gen charge that I keep in my pocket for the 5 friends that are still left on my fitbit community.

FitBit, you are not going to compete with the Apple Watch.  Get over yourselves.  Your pride is getting in the way of good sound business decisions.  You're being rediculous and I am looking forward to the day where I will be deleting your app from my phone.

I agree, I'm disappointed that we are still waiting for a solution.

I would absolutely pay that.. or if you have a registered Fitbit device they should give you the app for free. I have three different fit bits that I wear for working out but I also want to count my steps with my Apple Watch at work. It's ridiculous they haven't responded to this posting yet...

Just FYI - I found that Jawbone pulls the apple watch steps.  So I am moving to that one.

I don't think FitBit even monitors this feed. It's clear from their lack of a response that they truly don't care. Which could be a huge reason for their stock prices dropping recently.

Coming from a customer service background - I work QA for a support center - I can honesty say I have never seen a company treat its customers with such contempt.

Yes, many of us have "jumped ship" by going to a different piece of hardware; however, FitBit has to realize that those people will not be coming back if this is the way they are treated. A person who is treated properly usually won't tell many - but a person treated like FitBit is treating the members of this feed will wind up telling EVERYONE.

Bad word of mouth shouldn't be what any company aspires to. If they even responded with the typical BS response of, "Our engineers are looking into the feasibility of such a feature" we would know that they monitor this board. But we don't even get a "smoke and mirror / dog and pony show" response.

Bad business model, FitBit.

Here is another vote for Apple Watch support. I have owned a few FitBits and have many friends who own a FitBit that I would like to compete with. I would gladly pay for the App.

For those interested interested in some of the background behind this, here's my take.

That's cool, I guess, but no one uses jawbone. I want to be a part of the
fitbit community with my friends and coworkers. If it was a stepping stone
where like fitbit would then pull from jawbone or something that would be
sweet but...

I would also like to see the Apple Watch Series 2 integrated with Fitbit software.  I own both a Charge II and an Apple Watch 2.  I have stopped using the Charge.  not because it doesn't work, but because I want to use the other product.  I still own the Fitbit scale.

I am pragmatic about it.  If Fitbit would write an application for my Apple watch, I would pay for it like I am willing to pay for any of their other products.  So, please invest the effort.  If you need to charge more than a $0.99 Application cost, like $5 or $6, I know a lot of us would pay for it.  IT would be worth the convenience to port applications to both Android Wear and Apple watch because people don't want to wear multiple watches.  But, Fitbit has a product I know I would buy on either of those platforms as a smart watch users.

It's better Fitbit does it because Fitbit does it well, than the community relies on 3rd party apps not as well integrated or stable.. and ultimately disincentivizing the user base to use Fitbit.

Ahhhh...  Here is the reason.  They are actually going to try and get in the smartwatch business.   I think they may be betting too much on this as they are late to the game and have already messed up their customer loyalty.

Adding in.  It appears that FitBit wants to compete with Apple and Google.  Good for them.  They are too late to the game imo. At least for me.  They want to make more elegant and functional devices.  That is a great idea.  Gold star!  They want to make their own app store.  *takes away every star they have ever been awarded*  Good luck.  I believe I spent enough time on this platform that refuses to integrate.

I've read a handful of topics with a similar, if not exact, title match to mine, but with very little information attached. I get that Fitbit wants to keep their business, and would "lose" tremendously if people bought an Apple Watch instead of a fitbit.... but, shouldn't there be an app to purchase through iOS and android alike? I would be willing to spend some dollars on a one-time fitbit app purchase that worked with my Apple Watch so I could still feel that competitive drive instead of slowly drifting away from Fitbit and solely using apple health. Am I alone in this?

I think Fitbit would make tons of money if they charged a small nominal fee for just the app - since they won't need to spend the money on materials used to build the pebble.

I believe it's apple the one not letting fitbit to access with an iwatch app.

I think maybe Fitbit (wrongly, in my opinion) feels backing down from its initial decision not to integrate with Apple Health would be too great a sign of weakness. The anomaly that shows it to be a stupid position is that steps from the iPhone do count. Integrating with Health and keeping Fitbit devices in Apple Stores would have put Fitbit in a much stronger position now.

As it is, Fitbit gets no more of my money unless it's to be a Premium subscriber which will only happen if it means my watch counts as a tracker. It's a shame but nothing more than that.

@Dave1596 oh, man. that's unfortunate. I didn't even think of that. I can't understand why, though. I think more people would be inclined to purchase the Apple Watch if they could still compete with Fitbit friends.

Thanks for your insight!

Integration with the Apple Watch please! Even if it's an in app purchase option! I'm sure many people would pay. There is another app to create step challenges no matter what tracker you wear. Would u really want people using that instead when you can simply open the API for integration?

When is this feature coming??? its been 2 years already since the iwatch came out!! I had a fitbit tracker for years and still have the Aria scale, however now that i have the iwatch (i did not want to wear both the watch AND a seperate fitbit tracker), i cannot compete in challenges with all of my fitbit friends. Please come up with an iwatch integration!!!!

I have had my fitbit Charge HR for almost two years and love the community filled with support and challenges. My husband purchased an iwatch for me for Christmas and I am missing the support and accountibilty with fitbit. I would LOVE to see fitbit intergrate with the iwatch as it does on the iphone. Hope to see this in the very near future.

Please integrate with the Apple Watch, even if that means paying for a premium App! I love the FitBit app, but I prefer the functionality of my Apple Watch, and it feels I'm being penalised for preferring my Apple Watch over my ChargeHD!

Please allow apple watch steps to synchronize with Fitbit app so I can compete with my Fitbit friends.

Would love an app to track sleep on the Apple Watch the way my old fit bit use to.  Would even pay for an app or monthly subscription.

If youc ould create an app to use on the Apple watch it would be the best of both worlds!

Is there any chance this could happen?

Definately agree on this. Please look at either developing an app for apple watch or maybe include this in your premium membership. I and many other would be willing to purchase an apple watch app or subscribe to your premium service to avoid carrying another device around.
