Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

Well, you can say the same about Garmin, but here they are, playing nice
and syncing all your data to Apple Health.

You’re right, Fitbit will never add this feature.

So guess what, I’m not gonna settle on a “sync app”, that’s stupid. I’m
moving on, because a company that explicitly ignores its user base doesn’t
deserve my money.

You had a good run Fitbit, good luck with your useless and data locked
shiny toys.

Garmin, here I come.

180 pages of comments and still no progress/response from the company? It's been fun Fitbit. I liked the app, but the Apple Watch is much better than anything you offer. I'll revisit this page in 2 years to see how high the comment count is by then.

Id also like to see this. Seems silly it's not there already.

"Under consideration" since 2014 - inaction is speaking louder than words. They've considered and clearly decided not to go with health kit.  Which is stupid really.

I would like it to sync my sleep analysis and steps. As I do use MobileTrack, but it would be helpful if I could see my Fitbit data in the Apple Health app.

The feature can can help with those of us who use Apple Watch and Fitbit and would like to see their data within one app.

I purchased 2 Fitbit Alta HR and love it but realizing that it does not sync with apple health is a deal breaker, im sending them back and will hop on another tracker like withings which i think is ugly, or garmin, its a shame because i like the clean minimalist look of the Alta HR

Please integrate Fitbit to apple health.

I would pay for a fitbit app that syncs with Apple Watch. I just got the watch for my anniversary and have always loved fitbit. The app is amazing and I love the challenges with my friends. Even if we all got apple watches I feel like we would all still use the fitbit app. In my opinion it's the best and fitbit should use the demand to their advantage. image.jpg

This would be one of the single biggest ways Fitbit could be improved.

I would definitely be interested in a paid service to use Fitbit app on my Apple Watch. I think we should embrace and integrate all technology.

Looks to me like inaction (for 3+ years) on this item speaks volumes. Is
there anyone from FitBit actually reading this?

I agree S7eve. Love my Fitbit(s) for exercise and sleep tracking.
However, the Apple Watch is a better fit for day to day use at work and
travel. I love the Fitbit App and would pay a small fee to integrate the
Apple Watch data. I much prefer the Fitbit iOS app to Apple Health.
However, sadly, it doesn't appear Fitbit is listening. They are pursuing
the isolationist strategy - which we know always works so well long term.

Apple sold 80 million iPhones in 1Q 2017 - yet they allow their competitors
software (Gmail) to run on the device...

Fitbit should focus on engineering great fitness trackers and have the
confidence to open up their ecosystem.

Smart watches must be charged. People want their steps counted while their
smart watch is being charged (and don't necessarily want to shell out the
$$$ for two of them). People don't want to wear their smart watch to sleep
(they are larger than many of the Fitbits). People may not want to wear
their Apple Watch with a nice dress band to exercise. There is a huge
market for dedicated fitness trackers, but they MUST integrate with Apple
Health.

just got my fitbit charge 2, excited to figure out all bits and pieces except integration with apple health kit. then found out this has been a long story here.

this flaw simply made all pros in vain. I had chosen fitbit as it seemed doing better job for health monitoring than apple watch, but without data integration, many other apps in iphone can't use fitbit data.

very disappointing! thinking to return my fitbit charge 2 and get an apple watch 2.

Still waiting, Fitbit. It's pretty terrible that you can't integrate Fitbit fully with the iOS platform - how can you claim that Fitbit is fully compatible with Apple products if it doesn't sync into the integrated system!

You lost a customer here.  This has been "Under Consideration" since 2014.  It's obvious that you are just sitting on this and put it in that status to appease countless customers who have spoken up for this integration.  I sold my Surge for an apple watch and I'm moving away from my preferred fitbit app for my fitness pal.

Should I be concern? This request was submitted back in 2014...we are not in 2017 and this feature is still not available???

I am trying to overcome a chronic illness. I use several tracker apps to monitor my progress. Being able to condense my data all together through the health app has made this whole process manageable. Please let me integrate my fitbit data into the health app too!

My Fitbit Charge HR broke so I decided to upgrade to an Apple Watch. I am very disappointed to see that this is still under consideration since 2014! What gives?!? I love the Fitbit app and it would be nice to still be able to participate in the Fitbit community challenges. Please fix this ASAP!

Of course we want this functionality.

Closed sourcing our health information is lunacy

This issue has been open for almost three years with no real action. I don't foresee that changing.

Fitbit is acting like blackberry who dominated with their phones and their BBM (blackberry messenger app), but by refusing to share BBM with other platforms its now abandoned, unused, forgotten and worthless, in comparison to new open cross platform messenger apps like whatsapp who forbs estimates can be worth over 100 billion WhatsApp Could Be Worth $100 Billion Once It Monetizes

Fitbit should charge for their app and offer a credit towards the app for every user who purchases a fitbit device. Fitbit should share the app and data on as many platforms and ecosystems as they can (including apple health) so that they remain relevant and useful.  or they can do what they are doing and risk becoming another BBM

I think you've got that turned around, Jerry. Everything Fitbit needs to make this happen is freely available from Apple here: https://developer.apple.com/healthkit/

Surprised this wasn't at the top of the FitBit list of apps with which to Sync, since on the IPhone almost all other health apps on the IPhone share data through the Health app.  One app to Sync them all.
