Integration with Google Fit

I'd very much like my fitbit data available in Google Fit. I use a different app for food logging, but Fitbit's step counter, sleep tracker, and aria are great.

If their data was available through the new Google Fit it would be fantastic.

Why you should integrate with Google Fit:

it's like a centralized database where all health / fitness applications can save their data and synchronize with each other.

By saving data in Google Fit you allow other applications you may not even be aware of to use your data to provide us (your users) with other services.

Honestly speaking, your product is good (the hardware / design), your app is /meh/. And that's ok! It's ok because you can't build an awesome app for EVERYTHING: food tracking, sleep tracking, running tracking / objectives etc... There are tons of specialized apps that does that job better then you'll ever be able to because that's their core business!

If I want to sleep track I use Sleep as Android (none of your product integrate with it by the way).
If I want to track my food habit I use Lifesum (yes this is integrated directly with you, premium only... if you integrated with Fit I could use this feature without getting Premium on Lifesum).
To track my run patterns I prefer to use run keeper or other apps that does this job as main job and I would like all of those to be able to obtain more precise data thanks to your product.

Please add support for Google Fit.

Been watching these posts come in for months now - I think the reason
FitBit isn't responding to our pleas has more to do with who has first
rights to our valuable fitness data than customer satisfaction.

yeah i'm sick of all this apps using their own system. I should log my
weight in each of them, what I eat, when I start running... use the **ahem**
Google Fit already! it's the reason it exist.

Hi there,

I would definitely pay once or pay a subcription fee, for a small amount of code, to allow us to sync data between Garmin and Fitbit.

I wear my Garmin for my workouts and my Fitbit for work/every day use and by the posts above it looks like I am not alone.

Wow, just noticed this post.

Recently got a Fitbit and it is super fun, it just doesn't cut it when it comes to actual workout tracking.

I need to decide Xmas presents, should I give up on the Fitbit as a solution for presents? It sucks that the data cant be imported from other platforms.

After a second complete ChargeHR failure in 10 months (first was a seemingly common plastic housing deterioriation where you couldn't charge or use the button and was quickly RMA'd, now the battery takes the same amount of time to fully charge, but then completely dies in ~5minutes) I've just stopped wearing my Charge HR and have deleted the app from my phone - with a closed ecosystem and no lack of bugs, it's just not even worth the hassle to try and RMA it again.

I'm stuck with the still working Aria scale, but regret that purchase every evening when I step on it as well - especially when I see scales for less than a quarter of the pricess that integrate with every service imaginable (I really should have done my homework - here's to hoping this thread helps you do yours)

I would like to see Google Fit integration too. I am putting up without it at the moment as I have no other option but, when the time comes to upgrade my tracker hardware, the presence or absence of Google Fit integration will be a deal breaker when it comes to choosing its replacement.

I've been using my fitbit charge HR for almost a year now and for the most part have been happy with its performance. Although I'm working on my second one, RMA'ed the first, it has proven reliable and even the software application has improved over time as well.

Like all here I'm coming to a crossroads where I'm about to decide whether to stay or go. Google fit integration is not a huge thing to deliver and definitely what your end users want and need. The product brand that delivers this and other methods of integration will become the standard. Samsung has even begun to get this by finally allowing integration with their smart watches. Although I like the fitbit application better than the current version of S Health I'm leaning towards the new Samsung fitness watch instead of a fitbit simply because of the time and money I'd save integrating Google fit data across all my apps.

Better hurry fitbit...there are more and more crossing over each day because you won't budge.

It's obvious with the number of hoops they make us jump through to link to anything, they have no interest in doing this. Closed system.

It's simple fitbit.

When I update my tracker the first thing i am looking for is google fit intergration. If you dont have that soon you wont be seeing my money again.
