Integration with Google Fit

I'd very much like my fitbit data available in Google Fit. I use a different app for food logging, but Fitbit's step counter, sleep tracker, and aria are great.

If their data was available through the new Google Fit it would be fantastic.

Hi xnovo.  I have also signed this petition - thank you for starting it.  Might I suggest that you also post this on the Fitbit Facebook page to get more signatures.

On a side note - seeing as how Fitbit seems to no longer be monitoring these community boards, might I also suggest that we discuss viable replacements for our Fitbits...ones that have Google/Apple integration.

One user posted that they have moved to the Withings (now Nokia) tracker.  The price-point and features seem to be comparable to the Charge 2 or Alta...but with the additional feature of Google Fit integration.

Seeing as Fitbit is trying to come out with their smartwatch, I am seriously looking at the Samsung S3.  It is a good-looking multi-function watch that seems to surpass anything Fitbit has out there today...and may have available at the time of the smartwatch launch. Any other suggestions for Fitbit alternative products that have the integration that the user community is looking for?

@Islandz  here is some food for thought. I wanted to upgrade my Fitbit but I've joined a innovate savings and investment company called stash. "It’s [has] feature that stashes money based on your fitness data."

In their document they say:

"Fitness devices and apps from Strava, Withings, Runtastic, Runkeeper, Noom Coach, Android Wear, Nike+, MyFitnessPal, Lifesum, Basis, Sleep as Android and Xiaomi Mi bands can connect with Google Fit to show all of your data in one place."

As you can see my poor old Fitbit was left behind. He is losing this race. So I'm leaving him behind. It's a pity, because he has been my faithful companion for three years.

Thank you for your reply. FitBit is indeed lacking behind, despite they
have a great marketing in EU so they're still market leader (but losing
track year after year).

I didn't know Stash, unfortunately it can't be used outside the US - every
app/initiative has its own limits 🙂

Thank you for your reply. At the moment the market is a bit hectic, many
players entering and still early to see who's going to stay for long. I
guess that the entry cost aren't particularly high unless being really
innovative/disruptive. To me a good point of FitBit is the battery duration
and the pricing. If they had the integration with the popular apps then it
would be still the most suitable solution. So far is disappointing under
many points of view (for example Charge 2 is not fully waterproof,
differently than Alta).

Thank you. Already 38 supporters in less than 10 hours, just with word of
mouth. Unfortunately the petition can't be shared on FitBit Facebook groups
run by some nazi-users, probably on the company payslip to have a positive
influence on users.
It'd be good if the company would spend more on Product Development rather
than Marketing, but profit rules...

Importing data from other sources would certainly be a benefit to FitBit and would aid people migrating from other trackers.  I could see this as a key product selling point.
