Intermittent Fasting tracker

I'd like to suggest a way to track intermittent fasting (similar to the Zero app). I'd love it if I could do this on my Fitbit.

This is a great idea! Currently, I'm using Zero, Strava and Lose It! plus Fitbit. I'd love to focus everything on my Fitbit app but I can't because of it's limited functionality. If you just put some Fasting functionality into Fitbit, I could easily remove Zero.

Yes 👍🏼 Calorie tracking is cumbersome and soooo 2019 lol 😊:sun:

I no longer track calories. I track hours fasted, water intake, and exercise.

Please FitBit, move forward with the consideration. Intermittent Fasting is not a fad. It's a way of life.

I posted about this in winter of 2018. I found a solution- I'm getting an apple watch. Sayonara fitbit!

Having an Intermittent Fasting tracker to the FitBit app and having alerts come through to your device would be awesome.

1.) Track start, finish times

2.) Display possible burn

3.) Alerts for start finish

4.) Social experience of IF with friends

5.) Gamification of IF activities, goals, etc

6.) Linkage with diet programmes

7.) Combine the data with weight / scale / body fat info, etc

I think there's a ton of stuff that could be squeezed into the FitBit ecosystem

Please add intermittent fasting. Like my Fitbit but having to manually enter data from Fitbit to my iPhone health is becoming a pain

Much agreed,

I.F. timer should be a plugin to the food logging component of the app.

Please hear the voice of the people.

Thanks,

I’m here to add to the numerous requests! Intermittent fasting tracking please! One of the reasons I stay with Fitbit over the Apple Watch is the amazing app and community. I’d love to stay within Fitbit to track IF instead of using a separate app.

I need this or might return my new fitbit, I loved my old Samsung gear pro 2... if fitbit won't be responsive other services will

Waiting for it to be implemented, wouldn’t it be possible to synchronise Fitbit and Zero datas?

Thanks

It will be helpful to add 1) fasted hours2) calories consumed on non fasting days.

Hi @Spring2021, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see an intermittent fasting tracker on the Fitbit app. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

Another vote here from someone who actively uses the premium version of Zero for intermittent fasting, but not yet premium Fitbit subscriber. Really  most the functions in Zero are great- but I think with the way fitbit uses analytical insights to combine data would make it far more beneficial. I've used fitbit ones, charge hr, charge hrs, charge 3 and now 4 and on our second set of Aria scales. I'd be happy with intermittent fasting (or the full version) to be a premium feature and would happily subscribe to premium for it. At the moment Zero does not integrate with fitbit and so I use a 3rd party app to export my weight data to Google Fit and then sync that with Zero. It is hassle and the Zero data visualisation is not as good as fitbit could achieve. I log my food in fitbit as I correctly combine tracking calories and cards too, but it'd be so much better if a timestamp could be applied rather than just breakfast, morning snack etc.

Yes, with everything on the app it’s a wonder this hasn’t been added after being asked for since 2017. I am using another app that does little more than time and track now in addition to all the food capability on Fitbit. It’s maybe what 10% code change at most.  Common Fitbit — add something

Agreed. I'm no longer tracking calories, but time. It's becoming more and more popular. I'd even pay for this option!

I have a suggestion that would help me a lot using only Fitbit app instead of three apps. Fasting tracker + body measurements in addition to weight! Thanks ❤️

I wholeheartedly agree, I have been on 5:2 diet since 2015, I would love this feature on Fitbit
