Please add feature to fit bit where I can track 16 hour fasting. There should be an alarm that goes off when the 16 hours is done. As well as motivational notifications through out the fasting period to to keep us determined to reach our goal.
Would like to add my voice for a way to track 16:8 intermittent fasting. Like the work around using the water consumed feature as it will allow my key metrics to show on one app.
Yes - being able to track my 16:8 fasting progress with FitBit would allow me to reduce the number of apps I interact with daily and reduce the need to pay an additional subscription to another app provider to track fasting
Hi @Zimbo38, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to track intermittent fasting on the Fitbit app with us. Because this idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Honestly it must be so easy to just develop a fasting timer. Start, stop, preferred times and trends. It would be very useful for me too, at least when it's not in Premium.
I too would LOVE to see a place to track my IF hours, even if it's just in the area where I track my food, water, steps, heat rate, etc. I cane to see if that might even be part of premium, which is up for renewal next month, but have decided I'm going to invest that money into my Zero fast app to go premium there. I would have loved to invest that money into Fitbit but I feel it's better invested with my fasting app since you still don't have concrete plans to add this feature.
I still love my fitbit but really wish you'd get this feature added! 💜
I have had Fitbit premium and the dropped it because all I really used was the added detail of the sleep analysis. All the other things were not a motivator. While I would love to see this be part of the free version which you could have similar to the Zero app, then have much more features as part of the premium subscription.
This would be an awesome addition to the fitbit offerings. Hope to see this in the future.
@TreloarJim were you able to cancel and get $$ refunded? I found that I don't use premium much either and wish there were better options available. thanks for any tips!
it’s been 5 years now that the Fasting option topic is « under consideration », what’d be needed for that point to really become « hot » and examined?
Today, most of people into sport come to fast more and more often, which means loads of your users (currently using separate add to keep track on those data). Don’t you think now time has come to get the things to move a little further than just allow the ZeroApp to collect the data of Fitbit?
I don’t understand why this hasn’t been implemented. I saw a post asking for an intermittent fasting tracker from 5 years ago (2017) that said it was under consideration. Intermittent fasting has become increasingly popular. I’m not using the Fitbit app much anymore because it’s not able to track what I really care about. Intermittent fasting has allowed me to drop weight much more efficiently than just using Fitbit. Please give us an IF tracker option.
I hope this is still being considered. I have premium but don't use a lot of the features so not sure I will continue. A robust version for fasting with more bells and whistles would keep me on board.
C'mon! It's 2022 and how is this still not a feature on the app or fitbit?! Intermittent fasting is one of the biggest, most common ways to manage diet and weight. Fitbit really needs to get with the times and make this a priority. A feature that reminds you how much time is left to fast and how much time until fast begins would be amazing! Living the busy lives we do, we humans need these reminders to help us be the most successful. I'm sure this would also boost sales.
