To the moderator(s) if this thread. Rather than just commenting when someone makes yet another of the clearly multitude of requests for a fitness tracker for Fitbit can you please comment on whether this is in the works yet? Thanks!
No it does not exist. This (very long feed) is for users to let FitBit know that we all WANT and NEED to be able to track fasting times on the app. Seems like a simple enough thing but they had time develop and add a completely USELESS "women's health" function but cannot add a timer despite the HUGE demand
Agreed! I'm guessing that the moderators are not doing their job and/or the developers don't really care about this community forum given the neglect to respond to all these 192 requests 89 comments! The complacency speaks volumes. 🤔
I totally support the idea of having an IF tracker built in our Fitbit app. I've been on IF for more than two years now and it helped me to make the difference. I lost 20 kilos and I feel healthier than ever.
Totally agree that an IF tracker would be amazing on my FitBit. Developers, please let us know when we can see this feature added. Seems like the community has been talking about this for a long time now, keep us informed!
I would love to have a fasting feature on Fitbit. It would be nice to open Fitbit and have all my info displayed in one app without having to use multiple apps to try to keep track my health progress.
I do 16:8 (sometimes 18:6), I track my weight,hr, sleep, steps etc and water on my fitbit I would love it if I could track this as well, currently using LIFE and Zero but would be great to be able to do something in Fitbit tracker.
I would like to see the timestamp of when I logged my meals. I do intermittent fasting to help with fat loss. it is key to note the specific time your last meal was logged to begin a fast.
Hi @SamY100, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option on the Fitbit app. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
It would be advantageous for Fitbit to offer a fasting option in their app. Different types of fasting have been proven through research to lower your chance of obtaining major diseases and a shorter life.
I see that this is an old post, but we do need a way to either have a built in intermittent fasting option or partner with an App like Zero. I use Zero, but they only sync with Google Fit. Sucks I have to manually look at my fast there and then go separate into fitbit to see all of my other measures like weight, fat% etc that is captured on my Aria scale.
Any progress with this as a feature? I'd love to track this too. As well as my ketone readings, which I suppose is a different feature suggestion thread.
Hi @harbz! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similarrequest. Post a comment or click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
Fitbit, stop reviewing and please get to doing. IF has become so popular, many of us would be thrilled with a feature on our device. I'm no programmer, but I agree with others; it seems like it would be easy enough to create and deploy. Instead we get cute pets that are given virtual treats for our step goals. Really?? For some of us, our health is more important than cute apps.
I wish I could do that, but all my alarms are taken up to remind me to drink water. But for others, this is a great work around!
If fitbit would integrate it, we could get a better snapshot of our health/weight loss/etc. They need to add this feature, body measurements, and hydration reminders. That's my ideal fitbit app, anyway.
