Could Fitbit please update its app so that that we can change the “view” from vertical to horizontal? When I am home at night and I want to view all of my Fitbit information on my iPad so that I would have a larger view of things, it’s very frustrating when I can not switch over to horizontal view.
Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote!
In the Fitbit App, you can view what your Heart Rate has been on a day by day basis, and also which Zones your heart rate has been in. This is good information.
However, you can only view this information in Portrait mode: if you turn your phone on its side to view in Landscape mode, the graph remains in Portrait. The Fitbit app has several other graphs that you can view in either Portrait or Landscape mode, and the ability to view this data in Landscape would be very helpful.
Hi @Hueyoz, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option on the Fitbit app. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
Hi there: I keep having to crane my neck to add to my food diary with my iPad. Please enable the screen turning so I can input the foods using my keyboard in landscape mode. It would make it much easier. Thank you.
Hi @SunPeaks. This is a great suggestion! I've moved it into a similar request. You can also check this other suggestion, post a comment or click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

So we're at 2 days away from it being 5 years after the first time this was requested clearly showing how much Fitbit cares about supporting existing customers. Not fixing something as simple as landscape mode (yes I've worked in the software industry for over 30 years now) in 5 years pretty much tells me they don't care about this feature or us.
I'm done and moving on to getting a Garmin fitness watch again now. While they cost more and have issues as well in all my years of using their devices they've actually listened to and solved most issues.
I’d love to see the landscape mode return for the iPad and iPhone. It was available for a short time and it’s disappeared again. Please oh please bring it back. 🙏🏻
Hi @ajenilynn, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add a landscape orientation on the Fitbit app. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
Thank you for your message. Landscape would be a massive improvement and especially if it incorporated more features as does most of the Apple Watch apps. Regards Geoff
I just don’t get why the landscape orientation is not available on the Fitbit App. I have a new IPad Pro, which I really like, and just like my IPad Air, there in no landscape orientation, and this is the only app I have where this is a problem. Please address this immediately. For what it is worth I have been a loyal Fitbit customer for several years, but for the first time I am considering getting an Apple Watch and ditching my Versa 2.
I gave up using the Fitbit app on my iPad although landscape appeared to be working for a while. I have had an Apple Watch for about a year now and I really like the interface and capabilities. I can even take phone calls on it. On fitness I am sharing my data with my granddaughter and she is keeping me motivated to do my exercise every day. We see each others progress and it can even be shared with others. My Versa is gathering dust on my bedside table. I don't ever intend going back to it. Support on the Fitbit Versa is practically non-existent. The new Apple Watch monitors blood oxygen as well as monitoring my heart and producing an ECG. There's no comparison. We've been complaining about landscape mode for years it seems but it falls on deaf ears. Good luck everyone.
Unfortunately you are correct, the FitBit app is great, but lacking landscape mode does detract significantly in many users opinion. And Watch just keeps getting better and better.
Most people, like me, have given up on Fitbit to improve the application. I will probably switch to another performance monitor once my Fitbit ceases to work. Reminds me of the days when the programmers had the “can’t be done attitude.” Maybe a hit in the pocketbook will change things.
Ce serait bien de pouvoir pivoter l'écran du smartphone à l'horizontale pour pouvoir voir plus précisément la journée en cardio. En vertical, le graphique est tout serré. === It would be nice to be able to rotate the smartphone screen horizontally to be able to see more precisely the day in cardio. In vertical, the graph is very tight.
Hi @pierre_heno. Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about being able to rotate the Fitbit app screen to a landscape orientation with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. That way we can keep this board organized, in addition to clearly understanding which idea other members are voting for. Don’t forget to click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
It appears that the powers that be at Fitbit really don’t care what their wearers/customers are requesting. The request for vertical and horizontal views has been discussed for YEARS! and still no movement on the request. I’m sure there are other devices (Apple watch for one) that have managed to provide alternating views. Apparently the loss of. customers doesn’t really matter. Poor customer service = no customers. Better get with the new decade Fitbit!
