Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

OK im not sure what you guys are refferring to. The Alta only holds its notifacations for 60 seconds, after this they are deleted and can not be viewed on the tracker.

Now when it comes to the Fitbit One, it doesn't have any notifications at all.

Could you be refferring to the notifications in the Fitbit app, or on the web, neither has anything to do with your tracker..

I am referring to the notifications in the Fitbit app.  Though I no longer receive them I still have a lot of old ones from March through July.

On the mobile app we should have a delete option for messaging than keep waiting on fir bit to clear it sometimes that take a month or two so please add that option to the mobile app

Thanks

I also would like to be able to delete the notifications and messages on the application. Do we have enough votes now to get this done? Thanks.

I agree - what are they for?  Just take up memory and I never look at them or use them.

Yes - change the app so I can delete notifications.

Thank you.

Even if you look at them Once, they surely don't need to be saved for over 8 months and take up space.

Fitbit, are you listening to your Customers?!!!

no, I don't think they are listening - there are too many requests for
removal and nothing is being done.

Totally ridiculous that you can't STOP & DELETE these notifications!! I won't bother with another fitbit once this one goes!

Exactly. My husband wrote Fitbit about these and no resolution so he told him he stopped using and now uses a different company without these irritating notices.

When will you wake up Fitbit?!

Take notice ... we are leaving

Really shocked to read I can't delete these notifications in the FitBit app. Please fix this Fitbit. There is absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to delete these notifications from MY phone.

Im not sure what you saying, and i don't see s request.

Would you be able to edit your comment so it describes what you would like to see in a future update, rather than what you hsve to go through now?

Better yet do a search of this forum, you might find someone has allready suggested your thoughts and the request is waiting for your answer.

ios devices with a limited amount of space would benefit from being able to delete notifications and messages. There is really no reason to have a complete history of being almost there, made it, and overachiever. I would like to use the space for pictures and other apps but cannot delete these useless messages. Seems it should be an easy fix. I would even consider that not being able to delete this messages is a bug that needs to be corrected and not an enhancement to the app.

Come on Fitbit, get with the 21st century, have your tech guys hit a few keys and give us the option of keeping or deleting notifications!!!!! From what I've read, nobody, I repeat, nobody wants to keep old notifications. It's simple things like this that get people to jump ship to the other guys.....joe

I agree 100%!!!! Why would an app have no way to delete notifications?  Makes no sense! 😡😡😡

Before Version 2.38.1 I was able to delete all these notifications from my phone.  So, Fitbit should be able to undo or delete the coding they inserted in that revision.
